Me again.

There appears to be something close to good news on the horizon in relation to Togo’s finest. Respected cyber snout Archibald has vouched for information on Spurs Community’s ITK page that a deal could yet be done.

A number of suggestionsn are being made and not all of them as cheery as the thought of us landing a new striker.

In relation to Adebayor the mooted deal is a 50/50 split between us and City of the players £175pwk wages. This would be for the period of a one year loan deal.

The issue as ever is freeing up wage bill space currently being hogged by losers, hangers on and soap dodging miscreants. PSB heading to to Hollywood with his bint and an endless procession of Brown Thomas bags full of LFC memorabelia will be a good start, but either Defoe or Crouch or preferably both also need a gentle nudge towards the JobClub™.

Let’s hope this happens. I can imagine Modders deciding that he has remembered another mythical gentleman’s agreement whereby Levy & Co promised him a big name striker. Well mush this is pretty big. It’s got eight letters in it. You’ve only got six.

What we have is a striker who’d like nothing more than to ram it down the throats of both Arsenal an Man City. If he does come it’s more likely he’ll be doing everthing in his power to make sure that either (or both) finish outside the top four this year.

    Bring it on.

Adebayor and Azzablud could be the perfect combination to add some fizz to our forward line…

  • Talking to a Gooner pal of mine recently I get the distinct impression that having Adebayor at Spurs is a worry for them because they still remember his goals more than his bitchiness. It seems to me that if we can get Mr Adebayor sell Robbie to the Galaxy and Crouch to Stoke along with Sgt Wilson keep Defoe and Pav and utilise Townsend and that new signing from ivory coast Soulyman something or other. Where’s the problem? Sooner or later we are going to have to blood some of these ” one’s for the future “, how else are they going to come along if they don’t get a taste? I recently watched the game at Milton Keynes and there was enough there that I saw that appeased my angst. Danny Rose was immense as was Defoe’s replacement when he got subbed sorry name slips me came on scored twice the first three minutes after coming on ok the opposition isn’t anything like premiership but just like dog coursing sooner or later the dog must see the rabbit or at least be given the chance.
If we can get the Adebayor deal done it works for us on many other levels too because we can play different formations we can accommodate VDV more easily we can also play big man little man as Harry likes to do or lone striker because he is strong enough on the ball and he does have a decent first touch but most importantly if he can bang a few in against the woolich emptycrates then that will be just fine by me. Lillywhitetilidie. Notice I didn’t say anything about selling Moderic? No he’s signed a contract let him honour it unless of course Cheatski are stupid enough to give us thirty million plus Sturridge in which case we can offload either Pav or Defoe ( still do the Adebayor loan deal. Der ) get Diarra and Robert’s yer fathers brother job done.

I well understand why there are some concerns as to whether Adebayor will turn up if he comes to the lane but for him this is an important season. He has lost his way since he left The Arse and needs to get his career back on track before the wilderness grabs him.

In some ways his position is similar to VDV last year. Rafa was out of favour at Real and where do you go after them ? He realised the opportunity joining Spurs gave him and like many others he is more suited to being the big star in a smaller club than one of many at a big club and struggling to get a game.

We can give Adebayor the chance to get his career back to the fast lane and prove that he is a top class striker.

I can’t say if he’ll take his chance but he’d be a mug not to.
