There appears to be something close to good news on the horizon in relation to Togo’s finest. Respected cyber snout Archibald has vouched for information on Spurs Community’s ITK page that a deal could yet be done.
A number of suggestionsn are being made and not all of them as cheery as the thought of us landing a new striker.
In relation to Adebayor the mooted deal is a 50/50 split between us and City of the players £175pwk wages. This would be for the period of a one year loan deal.
The issue as ever is freeing up wage bill space currently being hogged by losers, hangers on and soap dodging miscreants. PSB heading to to Hollywood with his bint and an endless procession of Brown Thomas bags full of LFC memorabelia will be a good start, but either Defoe or Crouch or preferably both also need a gentle nudge towards the JobClub™.

In answer to an earlier question, I actually have washed an elephant…it was great fun.
I have no problem with Adebayour, when he was a gooner he was a c**t now he is not a gooner he’s fine. Add to that what he did to them and the fact that he’s still seems pretty pissed off at them, he’d be worth having just for those two games!
However my fear is that we are still papering over the hole in the wall and that we’ll face the same problems this time next year.
However the idea is a clever one, it would seem to be a replacement for 3mp; someone just as awkward to play against but able to head a ball and score goals. Certainly he’d be great if we ping crosses in like we did last year. But we also need someone for the ground game.
So we’ll need another: I personally don’t see replacing Defoe with a taller version of same any use at all. I’d prefer someone who is a box player (yeah yeah), rather than a open play style striker. I still think Huntelaar would do that job well.
Whilst on the subject of Defoe I’d like to remind folks that we had a spell some time back when (pre Pompey), when Defoe’s behaviour as a Spud was exemplary. Bent was twittering his heart out from the nbench, Defoe just trained harder. He has always acted like a top pro and whilst I think we may need to upgrade, I’d put him far more in the Palacious category than the PSB one. I can only remember one gripe which was recent and I think that was more about his own frustrations than the clubs and he knuckled down quick after a word from Harry.
He is what he is, but he and 3mp for that matter have always been 100% spud when wearing the shirt…..lest we forget in our haste for new toys.
