Good morning.
There is rather interesting website that goes by the name of MyFootballFacts.com and Paul, the chap what owns and writes it is a Tottingham fan of some considerable standing. If you want to go missing for a while and enjoy yourself while your gone, give him a click.
I’m easily distracted and hadn’t looked at the site for some time but whilst taking a peek at Spurs Community I clocked a thread that had highlighted an interesting ‘milestone’ that had been originally highlighted on Paul’s site.
Big Martin Jol and our Arry have now been in charge for precisely the same quantity of Premier League games.
ARRY REDSCHNAPPS BIG MARTIN JOL
Played: 114 114
Won: 56 47
Drawn: 29 30
Lost: 29 37
Goals For: 175 169
Against: 133 148
Goal Difference: +42 +21
Points Won: 197 171
Average Points
Per Game: 1.73 (66 per full season) 1.5 (57 per)
Win %: 49.12% 41.23%
Now of course anyone can argue that all these numbers may be correct and in proper order but at the end of the day you’re not comparing like with like. The players were different, the fixtures were in a different order against teams fielding different players …yadda yadda ya.
But that doesn’t stop the figureseing of interest…
is that all games,it would be nice to have jsut league games
it is just the league games,
i hope we can muscle into the top 4 again,so many benefits not least in pushing 2 of the scums out in the cold
Premier League is all well and good, but what was BMJ’s win percentage in the Champions League again?
100% 0 out of 0
that’s 0% then… not 100% – you can’t have 100% of nothing!
You could also argue that it is infinity.
This could go on for ever…. :shifty:
It had no beginning either. :shifty:
Two things have hampered Jol Poision and King Knee Harry had King for a full season nearly we finished 4th Jol finished 5th twice with King missing a lot of games. Harry Missed King we finished 5th So it would be interesting too see how many games he played with both managers before i admit Harry is Triffic . Also if you look at Ramos he had us all crying when we won Silver and crying in the bottom three now that takes some doing. But the Tale too all our three AMIGOES records is this without a King all our managers struggle too win the battle?
very poetic davspur, they all needed their King
Just hope BMJ is still in his job come last game of the season. It will surely be one of the strangest days ever at WHL. Virtually the entire ground singing Stand Up For Martin Jol.Now when did an away manager recieve that treatment anywhere ?
