Is John Terry Really A Racist Pig Dog?

Good afternoon.

Life is full of uncertainties. That sounds an awful lot like an intro line from one of those insurance adverts. Perhaps subliminally implanted in my brain by unrelenting exposure to really awful telly.  But in this life there can be little doubt about the ‘Terry gene.’

Son of a convicted charlie pusher – now born again football agent – husband and son in law to caution accepting shoplifters and most gut wrenching of all, brother to a quite possibly even more abhorrent version of himself. John Terry’s brother Paul Terry had a casual affair with his Rushden & Diamonds team mate Dale Roberts’ wife Lindsay Cowan. The discovery of which drove Roberts to hang himself last year.

The video footage of John Terry’s verbal volley to Anton Ferdinand has largely been removed from the Internet in what can only be described as an online  ‘scorched earth policy.’  The Grauniad’s slo mo clip remains here and one has to ask if it was ‘overlooked’ as crucial frames are obscured by Ashley Cole’s head. Not the first time one might imagine that phrase has been used.

Terry was previously accused of  making a racist remark in ‘that’ incident involving our very own Ledley King. On that occasion, Terry was rumoured to have told King, ‘Shut up you lippy black monkey.’ But it wasn’t the avalanche of self appointed lip reading experts that triggered the outrage, but the response of Tottenham’s coloured players.

King, Zokora and Chimbonda all went bonkers. Didier Drogba who has endless form for sticking his oar in to any ‘incident’ declined a gilt edged opportunity to get involved. Terry himself was given a red for the element of the incident that was to do with actual play, but curiously skulked off unusually quietly for an man that ordinarily screams when a throw in is awarded that he disagrees with.

On both occasions, Terry has issued swift statements that sought to gloss over the incidents. Lots of ‘Nah, you got it all wrong mate, we’ve been mates since we was kids. Nuffink in it, bruv.’ To the best of my knowledge King has yet to comment. To the best of my knowledge, Ferdinand has yet to comment.

If  John Terry is not a racist pig dog then what incredibly bad cards this upright, decent chap is being dealt.

John Terry is a character isn’t he? Good player once, despite his social shortcomings – his star is, playingwise, beginning to fade. Racist pig? dunno – just a throughly nasty ‘more cash than brains’ pig without doubt. Parked his car on a disabled bay outside McDonalds in Windsor, with wife n kids in tow, as I recall – he does not have what you’d call ‘social maturity’. His ” I’ve got considerably more money than yeouw” personna is gonna grow in proportion to his fading England career methinks.

Parvenu, a.k.a. striver, social climber, or even nouveau riche.
A dead give-away of such people is that they are overly concerned with the status indicators of others’ personal purchases, and the need to ensure they are ‘above’ the lower orders.
However — ” You can put a suit on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”

It is hilarious how rumour can become conjecture can become FAKT particularly with people who are looking for sticks to beat people with. Now I’m not saying that John Terry is an angel. Far from it. However, I do remember at the time of the allegations of racist insult against Ledley King that many people opined a lot of things, most of it rubbish. I’ll tell you who did, however, say something at that time: a spokesperson for Tottenham Hotspur who said that these allegations were total rubbish, had there been any racist insults Spurs would be looking into it, and since there were no insults, there was no complaint or accusation. It would he helpful it you pointed this out rather than referring to an allegation that was the subject of rumours at the time and which was totally dismissed even then.

I may be completely off the mark here but i don’t remember any ‘official’ spokesperson from Spurs saying the allegations were “total rubbish”.

I can imagine what was decided in the immediate aftermath though. King knows Terry from way back, and knows what a complete and utter tool the bloke is. If he went through the official channels and filed a complaint (even with witness back up), then what? What would happen to Terry? A slap on the wrist, a measly fine (relatively speaking), a 3-5 game ban? So what? Will that be any deterrent to Terry and his ilk in the future? And what of the media circus that would envelop King? Does he need or want the hassle, especially when the accused could’t give a toss whether he was found guilty or not?

Look at the Evra/Suarez case. Without a third party backing Evra’s claims, it’s just his word against Suarez; and as certain gutter right-wing media outlets have already gleefully stated “Prove It”.

It seems the spotlight is more on the accuser (when they actually stand up for themselves) than the accused.

Sadly right, it’s another symptom of our nasty tabloid bully culture.

i agree; i was watching the press after that game and saw no official comment from the club. i was at the game and i immediately noticed how loud mouth drogba turned his back and walked away, it was very striking. that led to cojecture, including that king, who still had england hopes wd not want to show that he cd not play alongside the captain, as well as someone he had known for years and who might have been reluctant to make a big issue of it all.

Name these ‘gutter right wing media outlets’?

I think u will find the FA got on to tottenham and had a word as we couldn’t be doing this to the Englands captain.Shame on spurs then if this is the case because it would have the end of the scumbag, cheatski would have had to loan him of to Serbia were the sort of talk is expected. You sir need to catch a fucking grip and fuck of back to your Nazi club bloggs. The guys dirt, as is his family end of.coys

I was in a bar in Thailand once and a bloke came in wearing a T-shirt that showed a swastika on a red background.

The bar owner came into the bar, and went straight to him and told him to finish his drink and leave.

The conversation then went like this. “I am not German, I am from Serbia”.

The bar owner replied, “I don’t care where you are from. We don’t serve Nazis in this bar, and if you are still here in five minutes, I will phone my Muslim friends and tell them that we are having trouble with a Serb”.

        • Sam says:

Shows how ignorant ppl are in this world… the swastika was used as a symbol of the Nazi party for 10-15 years??? did we totally forget that it has and still is used in Jainism, Buddhism and Hinduism as a holy symbol for the past 5000 years

    • Hoggy1983x says:

Completely agree. Innocent until proven guilty. I don’t care about Terry but the smear campaign is doing my head in

    • jasto mcnoon says:

you have just made that up! I was working for AP at the time, there was no doubt that Terry had called King a lippy black monkey but it would have been Ledders word against his. Does anyone doubt these allegations? not that i know!

    • SpurredoninDublin says:

      @Euroblue

The game has more than it’s fair share of thuggish behaviour and people rushing to defend the likes of Terry, Rooney and Wilshere etc, purely because they play for “my team”.

Forget about Terry for one minute and consider those Manure fans who thought it was outrageous that Rooney should be banned for swearing. The reality is that he was not banned for swearing per se, he was banned for swearing into a live TV camera.

As long as there are fans that will feel aggrieved at players being punished when they have transgressed and atre apologists for this type of conduct, those fans, and I include you amongst them are not part of the solution, but part of the problem.

I recall the stories of Paul Gascoigne beating up his wife, and I was pleased he was no longer playing for us. I’d like to think that if he had been playing for us at the time, I would not have made excuses, or given him some fatuous alibi.

Anton is keeping quiet , surly if Terry was innocent wouldn’t he be the first to say so

    Guilty me lord
    Throw him to the lions

Terry, is one of a very few who are natural leaders in the England dressing room, he can make a good team better and he is passionately committed to St George. However this really is an embarrassment too far. He has talent but these gifts cannot be placed above the game. The game is more important than Terry. He can’t change, he has no motivation and behaviour is learnt, he has no reason to be taught. He is now an old dog who sadly cannot learn new tricks. HH you are also an old dog, but we like the tricks you do :-)

    • SpurredoninDublin says:

When you look at the current England team squad, they do come across as a bit of a disgrace to put it mildly.

Just some of the names that trip off the tongue are Johnson, caught switching price tags in a DIY store and was given an fixed penalty fine for theft. Though he earns tens of thousands a week, he was still not above trying to cheat a shop out of £60.

Ferdinand: Serial adulterer. (Excuse the language, but it’s only for brevity).

Terry: In addition to the above list, he was also arrested for assault on a cabbie.

      Cole: Serial adulterer.

Gerard: Arrested for assault and affray, but was never likely to be convicted in front of a Liverpool jury.

Rooney: All round immature thug with a penchant for over the hill brasses.

Defoe: Questions about his loan of a car to an uninsured driver.

Those are just off the top of my head, but can anyone ever recall such a disreputable England squad. If these are supposed to be the heroes of kids today, then perhaps we can expect more rioting.

I have often said the black community lacks positive role models. I recall the welcome that Tyson received when he visited Brixton. Yes the convicted rapist and thug, who would be ostracised in any civilised community. However, if the England team are supposed to be our role-models, all the community has problems.

      • SpurredoninDublin says:

Forgot to add Wishere: Spiiting on Cabbie.

        • Billy Legit says:

Remember the funeral of one of the Krays back in the early 90’s?

Thousands turned up to ‘pay their respects’ to a serial-murdering psycopath.

But hey, it’s o.k, coz he luvved his dear old mum!

          Double FFS!!!

        • david says:

Ickle Jack has 2 police cautions, both relating to violence after consuming alcohol.
Apart from the cabbie incident, he provoked an argument with a couple and then stood back and watched his 2 male friends kick lumps out of the couple a male and female, whilst they were on the floor. Classy!
