Good morning.

We looked much better when Defoe came on for Rafa.

Walker’s worst game for us so far. Get Charlie back at RB, push Kylie forward to RM.

Overall a good point and if we win 5 of the next 6 (which is do-able) we will be in the top 3 next month.

Which is a good place to be.

That’s pretty much how I saw it.Said the same in what seems like an age ago that Ade and Defoe looked better balanced and seem to enjoy playing together, but the general opinion is that Rafa is the better of the two. Today’s game proved nothing either way other than without ledders in central defence, we’re fucked unless Gallas gets well very soon, that’s the biggest problem by a country mile

That was a good game. Open, attacking, end to end, all the reasons I follow Spurs. Sure, dropping points is a bitch, but football is about entertainment as well, and I was today.

I agree we looked better with Defoe on, nor do I find fault with his not scoring the second. Tight quarters, not time to measure where to shoot. He gave it all he had with the left foot. Walker did not have a bad game, in my opinion. As for Livermore, wasn’t Rose playing the position against Arsenal at WHL that Livermore did today – when he (Rose) scored that iconic goal? Having him on the field instead of Livermore might have been the difference, ‘cos Livermore didn’t really contribute. Not that I am ‘Arry bashing. Hearts made Livermore seem sensational. Today he appeared out of his depth.

We have just got to work on finding replacements for King and Gallas. Ledley’s time is nearly up – one does not want to see him end his career as a semi-cripple or worse. Ditto Gallas.

The number of times we gave possession away on clearances, either through short passing near our zone, or by hefts down the field. is troubling. Exactly what cost us the equalizer. Whoever it was (Livermore? Bassong?) had enough time to find a mate, but just swung his foot at the ball… and the rest was history. Has Friedel the pistol sharp reactions of Robbins in his prime, or that Polish bloke at the Arse, we would have come away with a three.

The Toon are as rough on visitors as we are at WHL. So a point’s O.K. And yet…

  • Yachtsman says:

    Had Friedel the pistol…

we were poor, against a good side, playing well, and we got a draw; I’m happy with that.
