Team For West Brom

Good evening.

The team picks itself which is to say as Van der Vaart is injured we don’t have to wait for 65+ minutes for Arry to launch Sandro and we get him from the start. A Pathe News Boy and Sandro combo should put the mockers on the Baggies having any crazy plans of ploughing through our middle.

And at the risk of championing a man doing good deeds this looks every inch like a great opportunity for Ade to get more goals under his Togoan belt.

What of West Brom?

Well, they are ticking over quite nicely thanks awfully I guess is how even their sternest critic would view it. They’re 10th in the league and 7th in the form table.

At this risk of pointing out the bleedin’ obvious, we’ve  still got a game in hand at as we sit 3rd and it would be really nice not to cash that in at the naffin’ Hawthorns.

We’ve a run of bums between now and Chelsea on the 22nd of Chelsea.  Bolton then Stoke then Sunderland.  Let’s welcome the Chavs with a safety net, eh?

I recall last year, Bale got both our goals, including that terrific volley at eye level.

He’s 80/1 to go one better this year.

Thought that was against Stoke but maybe my memories shot.

        You are indeed correct. Apologies.

WHAT!?!? Stoke and Baggies are two different teams? Well blow me down!

        You live and learn.

It’s funny you should mention that, because they have always struck me as being so similar, and at times interchangeable.

They both seem to have been virtual non-achievers forever. Look for one in the table, and you know the other is going to be close by. And in both cases, you never seem to hear anybody say a bad word against them. They both occupy this same mundane parallel universe.

I think they did a “Twilight Zone” like that.

Are you sure VDV and Defoe are both out ?
I read they were doubtful but suspect this maybe HR playing games.
It’s amazing how many of our “doubtful” players manage to make it on match day.
If they are both out bring Sandro in and push Modders higher up the pitch.

Sandro needs to start this one… i like the idea of him as part of 5-man midfield with licence to roam up front rather than just an extra holding… Sandro’s running off the ball is a weapon we have yet to exploit.. hope Arry starts him because sooner rather than later we’re going to need this boy’s all-round talents… also hope Defoe gets some playing time

    Parker Sandro

Back in the US of A for a visit this week. Will be strange getting up early for a game again. Won’t complain, though. Bad karma to under-appreciate a “socially acceptable” reason to start drinking at 10am.

HH (or anyone, really). When I read this illustrious blog with its deeply insightful commentary on an iPhone, only a few of the comments are shown and I have to press “show more comments” to, well, show more comments. Is this a setting on the phone or in its browser, or just a fact of life when trying to stay in touch with the minutiae of Spurs while on the go?
