Good evening.
Lots and lots to discuss, player ratings and that sort of thing in the am, but here’s incontrovertible evidence that the FA need to take action against the media’s latest supposedly harmless half wit, Manchester United’s Mario Ballotelli.
I can cope with losing. I can cope with the insanity of Bale’s license to roam. But I can’t cope with ugly, unprovoked nastiness.
For any City fans joining us, on of our old managers, Keith Burkinshaw in a moment of utter disillusionment stood on the pavement outside The Lane and said, ‘There used to be a football club over there’.
Look to yourselves City. Look to yourselves.
This has already been forwarded to the FA by me and you can do the same by clicking HERE
Don’t usually get so upset by such things but the crowing from City fans is sickening me. I know – I KNOW – that, were one of our players to do something like that, I’d want him gone. (Cough, Tarrico). I don’t mind losing, but I expect a little humility from fans who should be feeling more shame than satisfaction right now.
A ban means nothing. It’s not as though they’ll miss him. So, forgetting the table and the points and the after-effects, all I want as a reparation is acknowledgement of the crime, rather than partisan taunting.
(Or, failing that, a points deduction.)
What happened to the glory game?
Well said sir.
Afternoon fellas. I’m a city fan & cannot condone that by Mario, no need for it in the game & I would be fuming if that was the other way around so can understand your anger. Unlucky today, you didn’t deserve that. Best of luck.
Well said mate.
Cheers bluejamo, do call again.
What a nice chap.
Well played good sir. I’m not the boss, but I’d say you’re welcome around these parts.
type faster. idiot!
No, you type faster.
You ask for humility and get it! I guess that only happens once in a blue moon. You see what I did there? I kill me…
Cheers, Jamo.
dont forget huddlestone stamping on elemander at bolton two days later harry said he still hadnt seen it,do you want him out of your club?
Apart from the fact that yet again we have been cheated by premier league referees and Defoe has missed an absolute sitter the one thing that really showed us up was Twitchy’s decision to sub VdV for Livermore 2 minutes after we had levelled with 20 minutes left when we had them on the ropes….wonder if Fergie would have done that?
Might have been because VdV was shit for the whole game once again. He’s taking the place of a forward but just stands on the half way line leaving Defoe massively isolated.
That coupled with the fact he can’t run and so can’t close down.
4-5-1……think about it… :dizzy:
Right so he isn’t scoring goals, creating chances or closing down. What position is he playing exactly?
Correct this is why Liverpool want Defoe he can score. Why not Kranjcar for Modric who was helping his mates Chelski gain a point. The one thing maddened me was Ekotto should have let the ball go in touch and wind down Webbs 4 City mins
VDV left so much space at times today we were lucky he didn’t cost us more. Does he actually have to mark anybody, because if he does he wasn’t doing a very good job.
It was a logical substitution. Redknapp brought on somebody who can run, tackle, head a ball and wears the shirt with pride. He can probably take a decent corner too.
Re the Defoe chance, he was at full stretch and I could not understand why Bale did not just pass the ball to him instead of going past Lescott first.
Another game where we have come away with nothing when we should have had at least a point.
Agree with this, the ball was on early. Looked like Bale had messed it so this probably slowed JD down a bit.
Spot on
Spot on Bale could have passed before he went passed Lescott.
wrong for me. Bale did everything right. Defoe inexplicably checks his run when he gets into the box when he should be racing for the far post. Otherwise nailed on goal.
Why try and beat Lescott when you have a simple pass to Defoe to run in on goal ?
Will have a look at the replays tonight but Defoe seemed to be running flat out to me.
Agree
Bale laid off a perfect cross
Maybe JD had one eye on running into the post?
Yes let’s all blame Bale for Defoe’s inability to score an open goal…..he checked his run, didn’t he trust Bale to get the cross in?
It’s only a “sitter/open goal” if the player can reach the ball.
VDV had been poor and to be fair livermore didnt do too badly
Missing the point as is David above….City see us take off an attacking midfielder and put on a defensive midfielder when we are on top with twenty minutes to go….to be honest I’m not in the best of moods after the way we lost and having to explain basic football to happy clappers is not going to cheer me up so I’m off to hit the bottle… :winke:
Sorry David not you, but E4_Yidd…..who can’t even spell YID..
Sorry, my point was simply Bale should have passed to Defoe rather than trying to run past Lescott first. So which of your points am I supposed to have missed ?
So we keep on players just because they are classed as “attacking” despite how poor they play?
Ok mate, just seen yours at 4.47, hitting the bottle seems like a good idea… and Manu have just scored!
Sorry Hartley meant to refer to yours at 4.45 not 4.47. Anyway, it’s all good.
Should have put Krancjar on instead of Livermore. Nothing against Jake, but Niko would have given us another attacking option.
Once again officials decisions (or lack of them) have cost us points. Oh and the fact that if Defoe was only two inches taller!
Do you have a clip of the Lescott’s forearm smash on Kabul?
City should have been down to 9 men. Hopefully, with suspensions City will drop points.
Ever the optimist…..
Pav would of reached that f*cking cross aswell grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!
Don’t be stupid!
Pav would not have got into a position to miss the ball, the cross was just out of reach, what’s the matter with every ones eyes!Defoe took his goal with great aplomb and made it look a lot easier than it was.Give the man a break FFS.
his first goal was very very good. he screwed up the chance though. It was basically a carbon copy of both crouch and pav’s goals against inter at the lane last year. They both ran hard onto the cross and scored. Defoe stopped. End of.
End of what?
Of.
The paragraph.
Full stop was enough end of
I see what you did there.
I didn’t…
