Good afternoon.

Some four hours to go and if we’re honest the confidence, the exuberance that evaporated so cruelly last week has been difficult to summon up again. And that’s just for us who don’t have the responsibility of actually wearing the Chicken Badge.

It’s so important that we not only put last week behind us, but ensure that we play the Tottenham way. Keep the ball on the floor, entwine precision with pace and get back to playing the type memorable football that has had every pundit this side of the Great Wall of China cooing all season.

We know that Parker is missing, but we’re not a one man team and Sandro is not just admired for his self defence skills. I always feel that the games against Manchester United really reflect how we’ve done. A snapshot of a season in one game.

I use United because of all the clubs we play they have been so depressingly consistent, so depressingly succussful that as barometers go, they are a decent one.

The ‘gap’ was closed from 10 points to 4 yesterday. And the Woolwich having eaten so hungrily into that will be on the lads minds as much as anything else. So let’s see a nice, simple, straightforward approach where we keep our heads and keep our momentum.

I don’t get the VDV pick from people above me. He didn’t play good the last 10 games he played. Just put Ade and Saha together and put in Defoe later that’s what we need.

I also wanted to say that I am surprised how well Kranjcar is playing recently and he could be a threat to players on the midfield including VDV.

I for one and am really excited about this match. I think we are absolutely going to hammer Manure today.

If Gallas is really fit as it appears, we are adding back a defender that has only been on the losing side once all season. The back line never looks shaky when he is out there, no matter who his partner is. How can that not lift our confidence?

I also think having Parker out is going to be a huge plus to our attack. His massive number of turnovers in matches against the big clubs (where he is pressured on the ball every time) has left us with far too little possession and forced us to defend way too deep.

    2-0 result coming today. COYS!

This is always the one isn’t it? Will we be winning in the 95th minute and still lose? Will we be out of it after 15 minutes? Will there be an incident whereby studio pundits will be endlessly debating about goal line technology? I don’t think I can take anymore of this fixture and retain my sanity.
