Good morning.

Outside shot. That’s the only way to look at it.

Reuters are reporting this morning that the Italian gendarmes are not only investigating a suspected match fixing ring, but they have just hoisted Juve trainer Antonio Conte for questioning as well as actually arresting Lazio’s capitain, Stefano Mauri among about 19 others.

A police statement said five people had also been arrested in Hungary on suspicion of being part of an illegal international betting consortium said to be headed up by Singaporean gambling identity Tan Seet Eng.

‘In this part of the investigation, indications have emerged of manipulation in matches from the 2010-11 Serie A championship, including games between Lazio and Genoa and Lecce and Lazio.

Raffale Grassi, director of SCO, the police service responsible for the investigation told SkyTG24 television.

If ‘ifs and ands were pots and pans, there’d be no need for tinkers’, but if there is as much substance to this suspected criminal activity as there very well might be then Tottenham would be as well placed as anyone to appeal for any spare place that might emerge.

Platini is your typical frnch anglophobe still smarting over Waterloo and WW2 where most of France played German allies but then demanded an equal share of teh victory after doing bugger all.
Joking? No go look at the famopus:maquis” who did not even truly emerge until it was obviousd germany was losing the war. The arrogance of de gauule after we nursed him through 41 -45 was incredible.

While Platinin is there NO English club will ever be helped by the UEFA scum

The Germans played a more prominent part at the Battle of Waterloo than was first thought, it has emerged recently. The Prussians broke the French at Plancenoit, which was a more significant contribution to Wellington’s (mostly German and Dutch troops)victory. On an entirely separate note I had to look up Peter Baker’s face on Google, because I’d forgotten what he looked like. 51 years later I’m afraid my memory is going.

Prominent BC? Without Blucher there would have been no victory at Waterloo, it was that close!

If Fulop is implicated in any match fixing cyndicate, then Ben Foster must be a suspect too….

How dirty are the Italians? They stink to high heaven – banish the whole country from all sporting events, I say…and Paddy Kenny

How can you not see that English football is corrupt? No goal line technology; referees decisions proven wrong almost always favouring the bigger teams; Fulop’s incredible performance. These betting syndicates and billionaires have so much money it’s a joke. I am sure if some forensic accounting was done into Fulop or Howard Webb or Chris Foy, money would be found. Just like the stock market is a rip off for those who aren’t involved in insider trading, football is a rip off for those who support the clubs they love when there are higher forces at play. At the moment I would be happy never to get emotionally involved in another football game again ever.

You spurs’ fans must grow up and stop being jealous. Arsenal is a bigger club, far bigger than you and as time goes by they will be even more stronger. Look, now you are not in the champions league with your silly players like ade (our reject) and this dutchman spouting bile about the gunners. Enjoy it (thursday night football)because that is where you belong. F****ng scums.

Get Lord Sugar and his lawyers to look at FIFA’s laws regarding Spurs not being allowed to play in CL next season despite coming 4th in the Premiership. There may be a loophole there.
