Hello.

This, if true is extraordinary. From a chap on Facebook in this Tottenham group you can view here. Fingers and everything else crossed, eh?

  • Tim Sherwood will be appointed as Director of Football at White Hart Lane next week. This is a promotion from the position of academy director- This evolution has been on the cards for 18 months.
  • Levy decided to bite the bullet last week, sticking to his original plan which had been drawn up in expectation of HR leaving to take on England and make the change largely in light of Sherwood’s outstanding work with the youths.
  • Andre Villas Boas will join on a 2 year contract worth less than 1m euro per year with another 2.5m payable per season in bonuses. This information is direct from the inside WHL.
  • Sherwood has known AVD for 5 years having met the Portuguese when both were enrolled on a course aimed at furnishing them with their UEFA Licenses, they have a similar philosophy and the duo will be charged with promoting youth ahead of experience, much like Roman Abramovich tasked AVB with at Chelsea last season.
  • AVB was hung out to dry by Chelsea last season, he was under instruction to dispense with the old boys at the bridge and he was given no support in doing this, it was his opinion that such drastic changes would necessitate acceptance of a short period without any remarkable success and a season of aclimatisation would be required.
  • Abramovich at first accepted this but was pressured by the media to get rid and he buckled. Bare in mind that CFC paid 12m for AVB and at the time he was considered the continent’s finest young coach. We are getting a great deal here, I am fully committed to Levy’s vision.
  • Levy flies back in to the UK on Monday after spending Sunday in Holland where I imagine he is trying to tie up the deals for Vertonghen and also investigate the procedures that will follow on from any possible transfer of Klass Jan Huntelaar.
  • Ajax retain a stake in the striker despite the fact that his move to Schalke was his third full term contract and third club since leaving Amsterdam, the Dutch side are due 20% of any future transfers that Huntelaar is involved with and Levy will be sure to try and use this in negotiations for Vertonghen.
  • As I said, done deal not News International bullshit.

    An Oz Spur here.
I’m most excited by Vertonghen and Huntelaar. Would be welcome quality for the squad. Also hoping Ratboy has a blinding Euro and some big offers come in from the continent, he’s not tottenham anymore.. We can cash in and re-invest in a new CM.
AVB is a roll of the dice, maybe an educated roll, but a roll none the less. There’s no point analyzing his time at the Chavs, the circumstances are too far removed from Spurs. And frankly, I don’t care if he wears a flashers coat, infact I don’t care if he is a flasher, if he does the job and puts us where we belong at, the top of the league, I’m all for it.
Harry was OK, did a job, but didn’t get the best that he could have from the squad he had, site circumstances repeated ad nausium. What fckued him, was his shameless self promotion, at the expense of the club and results. For this alone he deserve te chop. Never was tottenham, never will be.
Anyways, looking forward to another Spurs roller coaster, best fuckin ride in football.
    COYS

I didn’t have a problem when Harry was appointed – but after the last six months his attitude would have given him the sack anywhere! AVB would be a good choice he is young with a lot to prove for his future reputation! Levy has had something in mind for months now I am sure and Vertonghen is a great starting signing. We can do better than Huntelaar though. coys

AVB major signings for Chavski were Raul Meirles , Romeu Lukkaku and Mata. Huntelaar has rejected moves to the lane in the past and he’s a tool. We should wait until the new coach arrives before spending all the transfer budget except for Vertonghen, get the deal n dusted now

KJH? you’re ‘avin a laugh right? No way is he coming here. I feel like i’ve been sent back in time two or three years. We’ve tried to sign him a couple’o’times in the past with no joy but this time he’s coming?, after banging in a shed load of goals for his CL bound team? There’s more chance of us signing Grant Holt than KJH.

AVB is a class act. He is also young which is a good thing. He struggled at Chelsea but many managers before him have done the same. Harry Rednapp did a remarkable job but he did let Spurs down in the latter part of the season flirting with the England job and taking his eye off the ball. Spurs have been pushing at the gates of the top four for some time now and Rednapp recovered a bad blip under Ramos. Levy is building for a better future. New state of the art training facilities, new stadium, new young manager ( maybe!) After decades of mediocrity Spurs are determined to move forwards and upwards and all within a modest budget and sound financial basis. Everyone should hope they succeeed because pumping millions in and buying anyone you want, and paying them anything they want, despite the financial losses is not a receipe for long term success. Bringing on quality youth players through the ranks is the secret of lasting success. If Spurs get it right then perhaps the glory glory days of the early 1960’s will return.
