Cliff Barnes Wants Dynasty Role

Good morning.

I read this piece in this morning’s Sun and couldn’t help but come to the certain conclusion it was written by Redschnapps himself.

HARRY REDKNAPP wants three more years to build a Champions League dynasty at Tottenham.

Boss Redknapp has held contract talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy this week, with senior players fearing he could leave.

Yes, I can imagine Bale is terrified Arry would be replaced by someone who tells him to his face he’s winger.

Redknapp, 65, has only one year left on his deal but remains committed to the club despite the heartache of missing out on the Champions League even though he led the team to fourth place this season

Loss of 12 point advantage glossed over; believing he had the England job not mentioned.

In spite of heart surgery in February and a gruelling court case he wants to continue his job of transforming Spurs into regular Champions League contenders.

Hilarious. Health card played; disbelief suspended that he’s got the either the balls or the brains to land Champions League again.

Redknapp is 65. Three more years would take him to 68 when he may decide to call it a day, having insisted when he took over that this would be his last job in football.

Thanks for the maths. Or is this supposed to appeal to our sense of charity?

Levy and Redknapp also discussed their plans for the transfer market this summer with a new defender on the radar after Ledley King was told yesterday he is free to leave the club

I do hope nobody’s implying Arry’s had any involvement in the Vertonghen deal.

The fact that the lame brain who ghost wrote this uses the word dynasty in relation to Redschnapps is surreal. I made sausages for breakfast yesterday. I might have cereal this morning. Is that a dynasty of breakfasting?

Speaking of soap operas, Vertonghen appears to have confused SSN and a staggering percentage of Spurs fans by announcing in a video interview that he is  close to joining Tottenham. Here.

Up until that presser it was only thought he was close to joining Tottenham. But having now watched the footage it’s clear he’s now actually close to joining Tottenham.

Forget the Jubilee, we’re having a street party to celebrate being retarded!

I could weep. Has anyone got Ian Dowie’s number?

Perhaps by Dynasty he means to get everyone wearing big hair big and big shoulder pads, and encourage incestuous relationships. Or was that Cross Roads.

    • Harry Hotspur says:

Ha. Maybe he could do a Shughie McFee and go into the THFC kitchen and never bloody come out again.

Dallas had ‘who shot JR?’, I’ve got a feeling that if one of quite a few on here get the chance it will be ‘who shot HR?’

Either that or it means that Joe Jordan or Kevin Bond are shagging Sandra behind ‘Arry’s back!

  • Dessyspur says:

How on earth did we beat Arsenal Chelsea and Man City a few years ago to get 4th? Luck was it?

    • No Harry does let the players play. We have played some of the best football in the league.

On the other hand with Tottenham we are never quite sure what we are going to get.

I think that is all about managing. Harry lets them play and when you let people do what they want they can be very creative and great things can happen. The opposite of that happens when its not controlled and thats called chaos.

We had our share of that too

What a travesty, us the fans getting mugged off by very well paid board and manager.
Topspur you really are a patronising fool. You are the one who does not support THFC.
What other club would allow Redknapp behave as he has and welcome him back…unless of course Roy cocks up.
Fuckin joke, a disgrace, for the board by the board.
THFC welcomes you to WHL. Please shit all over our club, then come back and do it again.Pathetic.

  • LLL says:

All those who think that we’ve never had it so good, can you remember a more traumatic and humiliating season than this last? And why? I think some extraordinary bad fortune played its part to some extent. The rest I blame on Harry’s ineptitude and mis-management. Plus he’s disloyal and self-serving and publicly mocks the club, it’s players, fans and heritage.

Why do any of you want more of this?

    • Phil McAvity says:

Errrrrrr yeah I can remember plenty as it goes!! The joys of being a lifelong Spurs fan!

      • nobby nobbs says:

Can you remember a season like last though.Thats the annoying thing it was there and then let go.

        • Mitchellthomas says:

Seriously if you were there 87 was worse. We were the best team in the country by a mile. Fixture congestion and Spurs choking again cost us a league we should have walked. Losing to the scum in the last seconds of the League Cup. The only time they’dbeen in front over all 3 matches (replays existed back then). And losing the cup final to Coventry withs a Mabbsy own goal. Oh fuck it still makes me sick to the pit of my stomach. In comparison this season ranks as a mere boot in the groin.

      • Mitchellthomas says:

Fucking amen to that Brother P

      • LLL says:

I remember shit seasons, disappointing seasons, depressing seasons, embarrassing seasons for sure. This one had ’em all though.

  • BrizzleSpur says:

What keeps me in limbo over the matter is the fact that both sides have such valid points.

We are a better team with him compared to his predecessors.

What happened towards the end of last season was a travesty.

It’s not an open and shut case as far as I’m concerned. If we had a zero tolerance policy with everyone at THFC the we could have a pop at Bale for not shinning soon enough. We could be angry at Levy for appointing Ramos or signing Bently.

The predictable to and fro on this matter is quite un-inspiring to say the least. Gooners aren’t all calling for Wenger to be sacked and they ended up a mere point better of than us. There was no st. totteringhams day last season!

Last of all, I think it would be wise to appreciate our position and the fact that we do not have the luxury of conducting ourselves such as Chelski and the Manc teams have.
The board will look at it like this. 2 x 4th positions 1 x5th position and a CL semi final. Ignoring his irritating behaviour, you do not sack that guy.

    • Chrispurs says:

I have to disagree, I think you do have to sack the guy; simply because any other decent manager, would’ve got 3rd.

      • BrizzleSpur says:

Any other decent manager who? I’m hearing Harry out, over and over.
Find the chap that WILL DEFINITELY get our team up there and you’ll have my full support!
Sadly, wether intentional or not, I think Redknapp fully displayed the strength of the squad without his leadership in the latter half of the season, and I didn’t like what I saw.
