Harrumph

Good morning.

Boy this week has dragged on – like of those interminable B movies, one of those westerns that still occasionally turn up in the schedules starring nobody you’ve ever heard of bar Ronald Reagan when he was fourteen.

Lots of dialogue gets exchanged. Lots. The plot line is pretty straightforward. Everything starts of calmly. Then there’s an incident. This is triggers a shake up and the cast harrumph backwards and forwards, mostly on horse back (this is usually accompanied by very urgent music) until they confront evil and vanquish it a bit.

I think I’ve actually reached a state of transcendental inertia. I’m not even harrumphed out. There’s been nothing to insanely purse in days. Barring something seismic occurring the world and his wife are now saying that Villas Boas is a done deal, Sigurdsson not far behind him and Vertonghen plugging away in third place.

However, seismic may just be the word.

Maybe it’s just been a sinister ITK time killing device but the talk of the club being sold has resurfaced with gusto. Perhaps all my ranting and raving about how much money failing to reach the Champions League was accurate after all.

Those whining on and on about patience last season don’t live in the real world. Time isn’t your friend in a results driven business and it would make perfect sense for the owners to take matters into their own hands and do something dramatic.

I thought that the picture up top was of Begbie when he took his parents to the clubs fancy dress new years eve party.

Your right about Begbie, but it was a home video of his Gran when they gave her a surprise birthday bash.

Bale had the perfect opportunity to create now Harry’s an ex-manager, but instead signs a 4 year deal. I assume it’s not for peanuts, and also that assurances of the clubs direction and new management would’ve been discussed before Bale put his down mark.
I also assume Levy’s explained in better terms what constitutes a ‘big club’ and how much a ‘reasonable offer’ would be?

Bale was not brought in by Redknapp but was almost kicked out by him, Harry wanted some one more proven before injuries forced him to play young Gareth. So I don’t think the decision to get rid of Redknapp had any influence on Bale either way.

But I am sure he know a thing or two about the near future and want to be part of it.

    Good news at last!
Hopefully Bale’s signing is the start of some momentum for us, we need it.

“Someone knows the reason for my absence, but It’s not important.”

I went on holiday, and have just spent the last two days catching up on all the Spurs news on the net.

      “AVB new Boss. Weekend announcement.
Vertonghen. Stand by everything I’ve said.
      Sigurdsson- Contracts being discussed.”

I’ve read the various reports and all the other ITK stuff.

“New Management team are involved with In’s and outs already. To confirm JJ,KB,CA have all departed.”

To confirm, I did read the papers.

“Summer of Activity at the Lane, rest assured. Plenty of transfer activity.”

As you know, this happens when a manager has been sacked, and a new manager comes in. Especially when a player like Modric is going to be sold.

In other words, he’s said nothing previously unknown.
