Good evening.

Talk about feast of famine. Nothing for days and now this. Marca another Spanish outlet are saying that Luka Modric has agreed terms with The Special One at Real Madrid.

The unsurprisingly quote free article cites the lack of Champions League football as an influencing factor in the move.

The fee they are estimating in the region of €35M.

if not yet soon. Levy needs cash after Champs Lge exit. Modric will be sold 100%. And if someone is stupid enough to offer +40m for Bale, he will sell him too. Crazy that Bale is valued higher. Half the player that Modric is.

In more positive news it looks like Levy and Ajax have finally agreed to a transfer fee, Vertonghen to Spurs for 12M quid :)

Seeing the odd gooner coming on this site, only confirms, what I have thought for a good many years now.Still waiting for an intelligent one to appear.I believe that I am in for an extremely very long wait..Still one remains ever hopeful.

Don’t want to see Modric go, but there seems a sense of inevitability here.Perhaps CL football would have made him more likely to stay. If we must let him go, better for him to go abroad.
He’s a rare talent and a fashionable type of player so even if his contract is a year shorter we should still want big money for him. Beware part-ex’s injury free, good quality, established players on low wages will be hard to find.
Can’t think of any ready-made replacements outside the CL. Iceman was good at end of season – haven’t seen enough of him yet.
