Botch Job

Good evening.

This from the Official Site. The Olympique Lyonnais Official Site, that is. This was published at a minute after 2000hrs this evening.

In short the statement says that the proposal submitted tonight by Spurs is significantly different to a proposal that was agreed in principle four days ago.

To my mind this smacks of everybody, not just Tottenham playing chicken on these transfer deals. The first guy to blink loses.

The Dembele deal is a good example. Not a single ITK had a sniff of it. Because the price was quoted and Spurs told that was the price. Not an opening a price, but that only two bids would be entertained.  A bid at the figure on the swing ticket …or a bid in excess of that figure.

Also in dispute over our valuation to sell VDV to Hamburg. Hope Levy is aware their window closes at 18.00 tomorrow.

      window closes at 11pm mate

german window shuts at 6.00 local time I’m afraid, after that beer, large busts and bratwurst

He means the German window. Incoming signings to Germany have to be listed at noon, and completed by 6pm.
So we could be in a situation where we have to sell VDV before we know if we can agree Moutinho / Willian. Pretty farcical system this, f*cking UEFA. Just make the window the 6pm 1st of August?! What’s with this after the season starts and at different times bollocks?!

UEFA recently balloted the idea of extending half time by another 5 or 10 minutes so guests dining in exec boxes could eat a proper meal at leisure.

Maybe that gives you perspective on what they care about.

FFS sign him…we need him grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Gordo TW says:

…Tomorrow will be a BIG disappointment to us all. After all the hype and excitement, we will sign…..no-one.

But we really need to, so lets not mess about any more. Get the deals done we need now.

We’ve paid out £38m and received over £50m (as well as got a lot of big wages off the bill). More will follow out tomorrow, but we are nowhere close to signing anyone. So what is going on Mr Levy? If you’re saving for the stadium, just let us know, and we’ll understand!!!! But COME ON!

      LOL + LOL x LOL

Some real great, funny yet truthful comments in this place today. I wonder what would happen in here on Saturday morning if you heard that…

Spurs signs both Marouane Chamakh and Niklas Bendtner £19m in total.

Spurs picks up a 1 year contract on Andrei Arshavin

Spurs sold Gareth Bale on deadline day for €86m to PSG.

And at August 31, 10:59pm, Spurs have sold Aaron Lennon to Juventus for £17m and acquired Del Piero as an add on.

I think Spurs fans would demolish WHL.

  • The Tottinghams says:

This is amateurish. I am very unhappy with the way that this has been handled. If our transfer dealings are indeed being conducted in this way I despair of Levy. I don’t believe that there is any room for this type of behaviour in any part of life. There is nothing wrong with driving a hard bargain but be honest & true the whole way along.

this has to be the most idiotic post I have read in years. “amatuerish”… sometimes I despair!
New manager, some top drawer signings, and You call Levy an amateur!… jasus wept!
