We Want To Buy, But The Blue Racists Only Want To Loan Him

Good evening.

Daniel Sturridge.

I’m told negotiations have been ongoing for about a week and where we’re at is that as of this evening a loan could be done, but we would prefer to buy the Second Hand Fridge frontman.

How do I feel about this? Thank you for asking. I think he’s good stuff. the interesting dynamic here is as per André Villas-Boas, the Team GB boy has plenty to prove and where better to do it than in the Lilywhite.

Sturridge at virtually any other Premier League outfit would be a first choice, first team regular. But having £50m quids worth of chairman’s darling in front of you can hold even the most dedicated of chaps back.

I recall the old Jackie Mason line,  ‘at 20 Jewish women want a doctor or a lawyer! But by 35, they’ll marry a chair‘ and the fear of being linked with every piece of striking driftwood come the last half hour of the transfer window is the fear that urks all Spurs fans right now.

Time is running out but I think it would be a cheap shot to look at Sturridge as if he were a chair. He’s not perhaps in the same excitement bracket as some of the names we’ve been linked with for some, but I’d be very happy to ship him in. He knows the league, he knows Villas-Boas and he knows that he won’t get a better opportunity to really fly than this.

As long as he doesn’t take a penalty.

i would like to sturridge and damio come to spurs because sturridge can also play at the right wing like this

I agree with this Joe. I also would love to see Damaio and Sturridge/Christian Atsu in a Spurs jersey before the new season begins, especially since I hear nothing further of the Djemba Ba or Levandowski trade rumours. I would also love to either see us grab young Argentine super-midfielder in the making Ever Benega from Atlético or 22yr old Ander Herrera from Bilbao. £12m would likely capture both their signatures as Moutinho will cost somewhere in the £20m – £25m region which I don’t see happening. Ganso (22yrs old) who plays for Santos is another special midfielder who I could see replacing Modric but anything less that £16m – £19m may not be enough to bring him to WHL. I think though he’s fully worth it. The brazilian link-up at the Lane would then be, Sandro, Damaio, and brazilian born Gio dos Santos (and Gomes who I don’t expect to remain a Spurs player for much longer).

Wow, we may end up with Defoe as our starting striker come season start. (sigh)

Ever Banega plays for Valencia, not Atlético.

        • spurspanyol says:

And he would cost upwards of 15M. Valencia know his talent and he’s got a fairly long contract. They don’t have any money to replace him so I wouldn’t expect them to give him up without a fight. Plus, he’s recovering from a broken leg at the minute so it’s a real non-starter.

we’d be mad to off Defoe, the guy is a natural born goal machine. 120 odd for spurs and hes still got at least 2 or 3 years in him. proper tottenham boy. keep him.

    • MysteriousStranger says:

Proper 3rd choice behind Berba/Keane. Proper greedy offside merchant. Proper serial love rat. Love to get rid, but we’d be mad to off him cos we haven’t replaced the others we got rid of yet. And that is the only reason I have for keeping him. Highlight reels make him look good cos he scores some beauties inbetween ricocheting the ball off the defenders legs.

      • `rich g says:

love rat???, why?? did he dump you. why do you care about that shite, ive heard it all now

        • ColinSC says:

LMAO @ Mysterious stranger you are kidding right? However Defoe does get goals and we need that. Last year when Ade came off through an injury and Defoe was also injured we were left with no forwards we definitely need two more. On the positive side we are getting other players in that score from everywhere this should be an interesting season. hopefully positive.

He’s like you Rich, attention span/concentration levels of a goldfish.

        • MysteriousStranger says:

Did you read my post ColinSC? Highlight the specific bits you disagree with, then get back to me. Was he not 3rd choice behind Berba/Keane? Is he a proper greedy offside merchant? Would love to get rid but we’d be mad to off him cos we haven’t replaced the others we got rid of? Does he not score highlight reel goals inbetween twatting the ball at defenders over passing to an open teammate more often than not? Which bit am I supposed to be kidding about?

        • `rich g says:

well done , are u upset at terry for slaying bridges ex? , defoe is an average player, i dont care who he fucks, why do you? jog on pleb, i have to feed the goldfish before it forgets its hungry . oh moral guardian.

        • MysteriousStranger says:

No, just bored of the “he’s a proper yiddo bollocks”, and your moronic one liners.

  • Rich says:

Please god no. The guy is a massive cnut.

Although we are running short of options, Inter dont want to sell Damiao, well…..not for less than 60 million Euros! Game over man, game over!!
