Good afternoon.

Curiously enough I was having a chat with a blogger of another Premier League side a few days ago and we both agreed that the word ‘cannibalism’ was indeed about the size of it. His club’s fans have also developed a taste for their brethren’s flesh.

So how long are you, in your inimitable wisdom prepared to give Andrè Villas-Boas?

I’m giving him my full support come what may until 3.15 on Saturday the 9th of February next year. By then I expect the following:

1. Us to be higher in the league than we are now.

2. To have played some excellent, dare I say it sexy football on a pretty routine basis.

3. To have demonstrated to any fair minded person that he is worth keeping on.

If it by this time, fifteen minutes into the Newcastle game indoors, he is looking every inch the Mr Bean/David Brent hybrid that some are suggesting now; after three games then I want to see him flung into a weighted, chained suit as per the scene in the excellent movie, Brazil. AVB ought must be hoisted in the style of Mr. Archibald Buttle out of The Lane. Destination? Parts unknown.

Cannibalism was ordinarily sanctioned by a cultural norm, but to be frank those cultures are pretty few and far between these days and it’s perhaps ambitious to think they might have wi-fi. Extreme famine can be a cause, but in the main people eating people is the domain of the mentally ill, or deviant. Perhaps consider which category you best fall into the next time you take a bite out of someone.

I think had Moyes been at the helm he also may have had the same record as AVB after these three games. It just comes with the change.
Hodgson didn’t do very well at all at liverpool. I don’t think he fit in there very well. But now he’s the manager of england and I think england are definitely on the right track.
Arry gelled well with spurs. Not only because of the timing of his arrival. Of course timing was huge because the place did need a lift. That was it.
I think the players are wondering why arry was fired.
BAE is the most candid and honest of players and he came out and said it.
    This is evidence is key.
All the players have a hangover. No one likes change and they’re showing loyalty to arry by giving avb a hard time whilst at the same time obviously wanting to make the team.
Defoe is an opposite caus arry never played him, avb does. Now avb can’t do any wrong in defoe’s eyes.

Avb needs to win the players over first. He has to. (At least the senior ones for sure) its where he failed at chelscum.

Once the players want to play for him, the flowing sexy football will have to come because its hardcoded in spurs DNA. We invented tiki taka ffs.

We all hoped avb ‘learned’ from chelscum. He was on the back foot the second he walked into the door.
That’s where charm saves your ass until u can convince with the results.

A lot of people are intent on blaming our own fans for being impatient and the lack of success, but it’s the players who don’t want to hang around and move on. They want to see real ambition, not nearly bids a la the Teflon chairman.

One rat jumped ship for a team we can’t compete with at the moment, most other players we want to keep are on fairly long contracts.A new training complex and plans for a new ground…no ambition you say?

I just don’t want to turn into Chelski, Paying managers whopping amounts of cash and then sacking them because we didn’t win the Champions League.

TheManWithNoNavel at 4.02pm hits the nail more squarely and concisely on the head than anyone has done in a while regarding the recent trajectory of this blog. One thing’s evident from the recent toing & froing on here, it’s a long international break for Spud fans and we haven’t started the season well at all.

It’s irrelevant how long any of us give AVB, It’s how long Levy gives him that matters. So we’ll all do what we always have done when given a new manager, wait and see. It was the same when we got Gross, Graham, Santini, Jol, Ramos and all the others.

I will give Boas as long as he gets because I don’t have any bloody choice.

    Go on the Spurs.

I badly want avb to succeed, badly. Stating the obvious but we will al be happy cos our club will be doing well and to stick 2 fingers up to the press , chelscum et al.
but here’s the thing….one thing is nagging me that only time will will tell
is the same gonna happen to us by selling modric that happened to the scousers when they sold alonso?
With falcao at Porto would anyone (within reason) have been able to achieve what avb achieved?
One thing I believe is the majority of us will all know when its time to move avb on.

    WHAT A JOKE

    harry hotspur is already backtracking
you know you will be calling for his head
you have the foresight as the rest of us do now
but you cant admit that redknapp was a better man for the job
    the players played for him
    and he got us results
this is all a smoke screen talking about this muppet anyway
its LEVY and CO that sell off our best players
they wont pay the wages they deserve and then flog them for a profit
its all about profit and not about making us win things

you are in his pocket harry hotspur

wait til we all tell you so

this man has no charisma and is tactically inane
