Rambo Roberts, arguably one of the world’s worst football managers has been challenged formally by Jan Molby for the coveted title of Football’s Fattest Burnout.
But who will win?
Rambo’s position is pretty straightforward. Here we have a guy who if boxing referees legislated media careers, would have been counted out for his own good years ago. Last seen by me personally on the High Road signing photos for a tenner a pop off a trellis table. Revered in most of our hearts as a footballer, but …his time since then has been an unremitting disaster. His comments on AVB mark him as a mentalist. So tell me why Rambo is he persona non grata at The Lane, it can’t be because he thinks he has a commercial value as high as Jimmy Greaves…

Hahahahhahaha. Please, tell me this ridiculous barfly was paid for this direct into his fat palm and it wasn’t a case of the cheque from adifferentleague.co.uk. going straight to the landlord.
I score it as yet another unscrupulous media own goal. If you, dear reader are bored by all this, then please think about what is your rather sniffy ‘who cares’ contribution actually worth? Or maybe you are content to propagate these poisonous seeds by doing nothing. Maybe you are so demanding and cheap a supporter you only cheer when we’re winning. I don’t know, but I am certain you’ll tell me.
It’s quite simple. The media is made up of a selection of people all with an agenda against AVB and in turn Spurs.

He clearly never greased their palms or played it their way, I’ll scratch yours if you scratch mine. These people have planted their flag that he’s a flop so will stop at nothing to make see he doesn’t prove them wrong and leave them red faced. Can you imagine people like Cundy and Jacobs on Talk**** having to eat their words after attacking the guys character endlessly.

Who are blind to Harry’s failings that sit along with the very good job he did at Spurs. Again, AVB succeeds at spurs and alter champions league like Harry or even WINS something the Harry brigade can’t blame spurs for sacking him so disgracefully and unjustly (despite his lack of loyalty after the court case and throwing away third in the process)

The last thing Arsenal want is for us to have a good young manager for the future when they only finished above us by our own doing last season by a solitary point and they’re in free all themselves.
It short – its been 3 games. Help the team and give AVB the fresh slate and support he never was at Chelsea. He can’t be truly or fairly judged unless bees given a fair crack. Support the badge. Ignore the agenda drive gutter press. It’s our club, not theirs – something they’ll never understand. COYS.

Paranoiacs and morbidly sensitive types should support Liverpool imo, there are plenty there.
The press just say AVB’s rubbish because so far he has been pretty rubbish in this country and it’s therefore an easy bit of muck to spread. They like nothing more than not having to work very hard spreading their muck about you see.
They also like to wind up Spurs fans a bit because a lot of us do have chips on our shoulder. Don’t take the bait, just ignore the cnuts!

Being blissfully unaware of what Jan Molby said about Villas-Boas I tried googling “Jan Molby AVB”. Before I had a chance to type that final ‘B’ the following suggestions came up:

It’s quite sad.

We belong to a club that has Livermore in the Engerland squad and some on here don’t think he deserves a place in our team.

I need Spurs to do well. I would like England to do well. But Spurs take precedence.

AVB picks Livermore (and ten others – including a goalkeeper)gets two points from six and gets pilloried for his overall approach and selection.
Granted, he’s caused the Lloris situation himself – but AVB will learn.

Like voyuers to a car crash, like serial big brother watchers, like anyone gormless enough to watch some slapper page 3 girl on some celebrity (third rate) get me out of here survivor slash race around the rubbish tip type show…. its a sickness and addiction that many cannot ignore.
Even though I know full well a headline like “Neymar comment opens up the doors for Spurs” is going to be so full of shit it will be featured in “Kenny 2” (for those fellow Aussies amongst us that would make perfect sense but for the rest of you look it up… great movie) I will still feel compelled to open it up and read the printed drivel in the misguided hope that somehow a miracle has happened and Neymar has taken a dna test which says he is the long lost bastard son of Chris Waddle (haircut similarities…surely you can all see that) and he wants to play for his dads old club under the father son rule.. (whoops that rule is only in aussie rules.. ah bugger!).
Anyway you get my drift. The stories and seriously crazy headlines are designed to suck us in and we oblige. They sell papers, click throughs and blog advertising simple as that.
When it comes to Spurs and the vendetta taken by many hacks, I think thats a cross between a few gooner supporters in the media doing what they always have and a few independants sensing a nerve has been touched (Harry/AVB)in an open wound and are making the most of it for an easy buck.
The further the “anti AVB” gravy train goes down the track the more the Roberts and Molby types that are way out of the spotlight will pop up to get their 2 minutes of mistaken relevance in print. Its going to happen so deal with it.
Like the haggard and shaky handed addicts rummaging through the dustbins of our dim dark subways grabbing mice for nourishment we too rummage through the piles of used tissue papers on our desks grabbing but a single mouse, to turn on the computer for nourishment of a different kind. We hit th eon button before we have a shower, have breakfast or even say good morning to the wife, eager for that hit of news about our beloved team….
