Good evening.

Well done,I say. Well done for sabotaging what AVB is all about. Well done for thinking that being on what, £20k, £30k, £40k actually impresses anyone?! Let me my darlings tell you… You no mark schmucks you are loathed. Hated. You wear our bloody shirt and the only time you sweat is when your salary is at threat.

Well done for summoning up the spirit of that preseason in the Republic Of Ireland under Martin Jol. You must recall that one, eh, Tommy? The game against St Pats? The manager of the Radisson that refused you ‘more drink!’ that night as you ran about the hotel younger players thinking you were really cool, the night before the game chasing bottles of wine…?

I’m not happy and I will be ‘having a look.’

And why we signed Dempsey I’ll never know. In this age of the sexily-named footballer, how Clint Dempsey of America can even obtain a season-ticket is beyond me. And why has Siggy, after a very impressive pre-season, gone off the boil? Could be because Defoe, for all his goals… his decision-making from 20 to 35 yds out is not applicable. Not the sign of a quality, thoughtful striker. His goals mask our attacking problems. Ade could score at this rate, AND be a target man, AND bring others into play. It’s decision-making that sets aside the top players. Any ideas what the Pan manager was saying to AVB at the final whistle?

Dempsey’s looking like another Pienaar to me.

As I said a few months ago, if he was any good he’d have been at a bigger club than Fulham by the time he was 28.

they should have got the job done in the first half really, that’s the annoying thing but we are not as good as we think we are squad wise,i think bale put in enough good balls btu no one was ever attacking the right spot,we still don’t have a decent enough attack,

at least they won at OT and lets hope the lane is enough to roll over the villans, onward tottenham soldiers

    COYS

Frustrating at the least, but I have full faith in Andre to deliver the goods over the next 4 games and i’m hopeful the players will turn up next time.

I am not too bothered by this game. We sucked. It was a Thursday night away game in Athens, which these days is like another planet. It’s amazing to me – and it was clear last year with some big English clubs – how this competition seems to just suck the good football out of good sides. I mean, we have seen good games on Thursday night, I guess, but it’s been awhile. Even Man City last year were shit in this cup, and look at their players.

The only thing I am really concerned about – especially as it’s not to late to turn it around in the group – is the squad rotation issue. Harry has been widely panned for wearing the squad down last year, but it looks like this season we’re rotating even less. Hopefully, since we’re a little younger it won’t hurt us as much, but it’s concerning. They already seem to be wearing down a bit in the second half. Look at the week that, for example, Vertonghen is having: OT on the weekend, then a quickie flight to Athens for another 93 minutes, then back home to face Villa 67 hours later.

Of course, as he’s a footballer he can supplement this grueling regime with regular and often excessive bouts of hard sex with diverse and varied partners, which aids with the recovery and is one of the only known ways to combat total physical exhaustion and lack of sleep without resorting to solutions that are precluded by the Premier League’s banned substances testing programme.
