Good morning.

Ten games in and the mood in the camp is best described an eclectic mix. Players on Twitter have been abused before they’ve even finished playing games and fans attending home games are reportedly setting up their own union SAS (Supporters Against Support).

This group, spearheaded by 3 fat blokes in the Coach & Horses public house who describe their association as, ‘Somewhere staunch fans can inflict their contempt for all they hold sacred about Spurs without being interrupted. Divorced and separated welcome.’

Ringleader Teddy Wind told me, ‘We’ve had enough mate. Levy’s only it for the money he sold Modric and bought himself an aeroplane I bet you didn’t know that? And don’t even get me started on that ginger ponce. Taking off that Defoe was a liberty. No wonder we’re squaring up to a relegation scrap. We predicted the dark days of Santini were coming back and this is straw that broke the thing.’

You win some you lose some….and we’ll continue in this fashion all season, give the man time and the man will give us trophies COYS!

    SAS – Sad A-holes Society.
Get behind your team you mupppets.
We all hate it it we we lose, you are not special in that regard, the difference is some of us support our team regardless. i.e. encourage, back, cheer on, help, assist, defend, champion, promote , espouse, advocate, buoy up, prop up….you know..the COYS mentality. Love it or leave it as the yanks say.

If you dont boo, then you are supporting avb, and avb deserves the boos, with his management decisions so far.

    • Astromesmo says:

Just sums it up. Really sad. Tim, I support Spurs not AVB, but he is our manager right now. Do you honestly believe it helps. Grow up FFS.

      • Chaza says:

        Well said Astromesmo.

Ask yourself Tim: Would I rather sit in the stand feeling self-righteous, booing, piling pressure on the team and fueling negative headlines in a story-hungry media…

Or would I like to support my team, try to give them a lift, understand that things take time to gel and look at the bigger picture.

Do you think AVB doesn’t realise that we lost unless you boo him?!

Have you ever played football, or any sport? If you mis-control a pass, you know you’ve screwed up and that already hits your confidence, having someone point it out hardly helps, it just makes you more likely to over think it the next time you get the ball, or indeed to not want the ball at all…

    • Harry Hotspur says:

Are you a Cabinet minister? If not get your CV in, son.

    • paul9inch says:

the only place for booing is when a player is being lazy and in this day an age of football He knows he’ll be out of the team pretty quick.

If you want the team to go into free fall, just keep booing son.

My voice was in shreds saturday after shouting my encouragement, and so should yours.

      • Alspur says:

Fair point, but what would you call Defoe receiving the ball 8 times and making 5 passes in 65 minutes, Paul?

I call it lazy. And I think he deserved to be hauled off.

Even if he had been running around like a blue-arsed fly, his lack of intelligence and inability to drop deep and help in the build-up was just lazy, brain-dead football, imho…

  • Cheeky Bill says:

Gertcha cowson! (Tottenham Hotspur couldn’t get one in!)

Having said that, with a few key acquisitions this team could go just beyond the 70 point barrier. But not much further. That in itself would be progress.

This is potentially one of the most exciting times to be connected to Spurs. If the new style that we are trying to achieve could be done overnight then everybody would be doing it. This is not an easy thing to do – let’s help the lads.

The fact is Arsenal have played most of their tough away games, we have only been to Old Trafford. With the fixtures that we have had we should be near the top if we are serious about finishing top four. Wigan didn’t come to the lane and do a smash and grab, they outplayed us for 90mins. AVB is well out of his depth in this league and eventually Levy just like most of the people on this site will have to eat humble pie. All the players body language shows that they don’t have any faith in AVB, and when he is finally sacked the truth will be there for all to see. AVB came out recently and said Huddlestone is back to his best, whats he going to do next, bring back Jenas! If Levy has half a brain he would have had a chat with Roberto Martinez after the game!

So Paul, you would regard this as some kind of victory then? Do you support Spurs or yourself?

      • paul9inch says:

to be honest Astro I think the reason AVB is cherished so much by people on this site is that if He succeeeds then its a victory for the armchair footballer.

The ones that talk about it but have never played, just like AVB himself.

Having said that AVB may have great potential (ive yet to see this) but its a tough ask on the guy to come in at this level. But good luck to him and hopefully when Dembele returns along with some others it may pick up.

        • MysteriousStranger says:

“The ones that talk about it but have never played”

Who did you play for? Just wondering if I came up against you when I was playing.

        • Jamie says:

Wenger and Mourinho never played professional football. Are they both rubbish too, as they seem to win a lot of those silver thingys?

Ironically, I find your argument more “I told you so” than those imaginary people you claim to oppose.

It’s a bit like that Harry Enfield sketch of that bloke in the pub who gets angry about hypothetical situations. “Oi AVB lovers…no!”

The Martinez idea is golden however. Especially as Levy was ridiculed for supposedly considered him over the summer, but now he’s the flavour of the month – he’s an idiot for NOT hiring him. He can’t win!?

Perhaps we should we have clandestine discussions with every visiting manager who beats us? And presumably if we are sacking managers after 10 league games we can do this every time we loose and just rotate?

          Brilliant.

        • paul9inch says:

          FAO Jamie.

Not sure, but I believe Mourinho did play professionally but never made it into the first team and Wenger played amateur footy.

The rest of what you write is just a total load of mis-guided crap.

Looks as if Ive upset some of the armchair brigade

        • Jamie says:

Well on this I am sure, so perhaps I can enlighten you. Mourinho never played professionally, Wenger also.

In fact early in his career, Mourinho was completely ridiculed for not having played professionally.

You seem to want some special attention and recognition for having played non league football 30 years ago, and are angry at a bizarrely defined group which goes on to include everyone who doesn’t agree with you.

AVB succeeding would be a victory for all supporters, not just so called “arm chair” supporters?

And yet you claim this group of people you disdain have a self serving agenda?

        • paul9inch says:

Hey Jamie, just off to play 6aside at the John Warner School, Hoddesdon. You’re welcome to come along. t’ra

Ray Houghton nicked my place in a final after we beat his team in the semi’s when I was eleven and the fucker who dropped me was Vic Akers, the fat c*nt who gives the Arsenal players a jacket when their subbed, but I don’t hold a grudge…..

        • Astromesmo says:

Blimey, HH better close down the blog now then, he’s been told by higher footballing authority.

          Sorry Paul, are we forgiven?
