Good morning.

Ten games in and the mood in the camp is best described an eclectic mix. Players on Twitter have been abused before they’ve even finished playing games and fans attending home games are reportedly setting up their own union SAS (Supporters Against Support).

This group, spearheaded by 3 fat blokes in the Coach & Horses public house who describe their association as, ‘Somewhere staunch fans can inflict their contempt for all they hold sacred about Spurs without being interrupted. Divorced and separated welcome.’

Ringleader Teddy Wind told me, ‘We’ve had enough mate. Levy’s only it for the money he sold Modric and bought himself an aeroplane I bet you didn’t know that? And don’t even get me started on that ginger ponce. Taking off that Defoe was a liberty. No wonder we’re squaring up to a relegation scrap. We predicted the dark days of Santini were coming back and this is straw that broke the thing.’

    Worries:

Daniel Levy’s ability to do anything concrete, with belief, with focus, with coommitment in ANY recent transfer windows. Regardless of who he may have actually managed to sign our entire approach for which imho he has sole respnsibility for is amateurish at best and downright pathetic at worst. Our fannyiomng about has cost us points, places and prizes over the past few seasons recardless of Redknapp, the Ninja or the tea-lady and their use of said talented squad.

Our penny-pinching approach in everything we do from sky-high prices, to ripping off fans in glamour games at Real madrid to the above point. . This is most seen in out consistent ability to weaken the squad in January every year since teh famous 2 from 8 January…all to save money. Its a false saving by whatever method you wish to judge…want to be big? Act it

Lack of a stadium – where is it? That said, regardless of stadium do you honestly beleive that somehow this regime will change our/their rationale and drive in the market and in terms of salaries we pay to players. Note here I am not saying this is a bad thing its just we cant compete with the best in the above.

Poor home form; leading to some anxiousness and anger from the terraces which ins’t helping on the pitch but my theory is that people are frustrated with the last 18-24 months in terms of hwo expertly well we appear to be dismantling a very strong position.

Lack of coherant goalkeeper selection – starnge as we have 4 of teh bloody blokes to choose from!

Injuries to key players. This is bad luck in part but also poor management of transfers and the squad. We are a club with a history of injuries and this doesnt get better regardless of who is in chrage, who is the physio or the money we spend on facilities.

The mis-management of Huddlestone and Dawson – shoddy at best tbh and not likely to inspire Huddlestone in the slightest although Dawson is more of a ‘I’ll prove you wrong kinda guy’ in my opinion.

The form of Walker. Looks tired and under-pressure but has all the attributes so what we can’t do is force him out by booing the lad at every verse-end

    Positives:

    Result at United.

The signing of Vertonghen. Looks accomplished and likely to go from strength to strength.

The re-found form of Lennon and Defoe who have both, given their limitations, done well generally so far.

The potential of Dembele and Sandro in the middle of the park. Not sure how we will sort that out when Parker gets back but my guess would be to push Dembele further forward and have the other two protecting.

Caulker and I think Naughton have done reasonably well in the games I have seen and show promise and some potential.

In conclusion we are struggling at present but Levy hasn’t helped AVB at all with his constant fannying about in the market and thus not having a settled side to start the season.

Is it a wonder Ade got injured after zero pre-season and that Walker looks to be struggling? My guess is that Caulker will go the same way later in the season given his involvement in the Olympics last summer.

One thing is for ceratin we need a miracle to get much from City and teh Gooners

Some interesting points. I definitely think that Levy is rueing missing out on Moutinho… Having that extra creative spark in the middle would make a huge difference right now.

On the stadium, the areas all around the ground are now boarded up as the compulsory purchases go through and in some cases demolition has already started around the Northumberland Park area. The same contractors that built the training ground have also been appointed for the first phase (The building of the Supermarket), with the full stadium project due to be completed 2016 – See here http://bit.ly/Stv9WZ

do you know how many compulsory purchases remain? Thought that side of things were all completed.

ps lets hope Levy doesnt replicate that c**t donald trump (if you caught the programme a few sundays back)

Archway metal works in Paxton road, the site where that famous loud burger van man is.
They are still there, but will be gone soon after legalities are sorted.

Agree with all this positive and negatives.

The Dawson / Huddlestone thing was caught between a rock and a hard place though.

Dawson he had 5 centre backs when he needed 4, he plays a high line so got planned to get rid of the slowest – and we’re not a club that can afford to have £9m players in the reserves. When QPR came in he probably thought it would help get other players in he would be using.

I can’t argue with that, but the Kaboul thing put the kosh on it, and Dawson just has to get on with it and be professional. It’s not personal, it’s just Caulker has come through. That’s football.

Hudd hasn’t played in 2 years, and is far far from his best, so should keep his head down and loose some bloody weight.

Hi chaps, found my way over here after all. Did either / any / all of you manage to concoct any more lame excuses or wafer-thin arguments while I was away? Perhaps, failing that, some ineffectual, snide put-downs or juvenile one-liners would suffice?

        • MysteriousStranger says:

          LLL,

Whilst you’re denying Sandro’s injury as being relevant at all in response (in spite of him leaving the park on Saturday at 0-0) to your “arguments” on the other blog – I’m afraid it’s crystal clear that you will continually dismiss any valid points made against yours.

LLL is right. If LLL is wrong, see “LLL is right”.

Therefore, you’ll be pleased to hear I will preferably seek a brick wall to respond to over you and your tiresome bold type. :winke:

        • LLL says:

Eh? Have you been having an argument with me in your head?

Sandro going off derailed our season? Ok. Because we never ship a goal with him on the pitch, never happens. And he sets up so many with his slick passing and attacking play. Right? Yeah.

          Brick wall.

        • Bruxie says:

Boring, Boring AVB, master tactician my a***.
At least Harry told them to run around a bit, that would be a bonus.
Still think he should be given till end of December though, Then our great leader can come up with another 5 year plan.
