Leandro Damião Has Had A Dream

And so dear reader the pitfalls of consuming cheese prior to turning in.

Longtime Tottingham target Leandro Dime Bar told Sao Paulo radio station UOL: “Every footballer dreams of playing at a club such as Real Madrid, but I am only 23 and there is plenty of time to take that step forward.

“Now is not the moment to be thinking of playing in Europe, I just want to continue improving and scoring goals.

“I have a contract with Porto Alegre, I love it here and do not feel the need to move away right now, although it is obvious that the day will come when I will leave Brazil to go and play in Europe.”

No sour grapes I promise you but I always felt this transfer speculation was botched together by the player’s agent and a media desperate for the next headline. At least we’ll know not to waste our precious time reading further guff on this guy in January I suppose.

Surely signing for us will be a fast track to Real Madrid anyway.

ah yes the midweek moan from some, still brightens up my day, I don’t like moaning, i’m a bit 50-50 I was dissapointed with the tic tacs on Sunday, bringing off Ade was farsicle he was without a doubt one of our best players along with Sandro. When the final whistle blew I was obviously dissapointed but after the game last year I was tearful, why this shift in emotional input? Maybe because we’re not doing badly with a depleted team and I didn’t expect us to win, maybe my standards have dropped and I’m hoping rather than expecting before each game. I will however be expecting a much improved performance on Saturday, no Dempsey and Ade and Defoe if fit with Ade in the Dempsey role (has anybody told him what that is yet). Either way we have to step it up and resist the standing off when in front. For the record I would have taken Berbasulk back and was quite exited when Sky Sports said we were in talks but then again we were running out of options. I hope real sign Damaiou then can we have Benzema or Higuain? but resist selling Bale, without him at the moment we’re looking a bit well 7th placey. COYS

It might have something to do with the fact we ended up with 4 centre backs in defence, a full back playing out of position and 2 defensive midfielders, that’s 7 out of 10 players defenders, that people moan. Does AVB actually know we are supposed to try and score in the opposition net not just defend our own!

We have almost no options in attack it’s scary. The best players we have are all flipping defenders. Thats the squad mate.

Leandro’s only scored 1 goal in 10 games this season so more than likely the ‘agent talk’ is the references to Real Madrid.

Just for the record in regards to Berba and how his transfer was worked out. At the time of his sale to Fulham, Yanited valued him at £10m which was in fact the ammount they still owed us for him…We wanted Dembele who had a buy out clause of £6m, we took Dembele and Fulham paid Yanited £4m for Berba who then passed it straight back to us, we wrote off the balance of £6m still owed by Yanited, everybody happy….

    • Mark says:

United valued him at £10 million but as Berba said on his website Ferguson would except £5 million and told Berba that is what they valued him at.

From what I hear, United offered to buy Dembele in instalments and we offered £15 million in one go so they sold him to us.

      Except LLL perhaps :shifty:

      • Hartley says:

        and BrisbaneSpur….

      • LLL says:

Yes, because somehow we still ended up with Dempsey.

Where’d you get these figures out of interest Hartley? It was widely quoted that Dembele’s buy out was 15m for a start… The rest seem confidently precise. Are you secretly a football agent?

    First 100th!!!!
