Good evening job seekers.

5-2 eh? That wasn’t very nice, was it? Well, that agreed I had asked the boss yesterday for a 442 away and bless his strawberry blondeness …he obliged. That tactic undoubtedly gave us something of an initiative – because we scored. Also we looked at that stage as if our frailties might stand more than half a chance if we took that approach.

So to the Adebayor thing. I know many of you were not watching on Sky so it may not bore everyone to share that Gary Neville said that he felt that Togo’s finest was ‘too pumped’ prior to the kick off.  The bottom line with that challenge is that had it been executed on Bale or Azza then you me and even the woman next door who only heard it on the radio while she was doing some ironing would have been up in arms.

The bring back Arry mob have of course raised their Troglodyte heads. Idiots crowing, ‘I told you so’ are achieving what exactly? If they could summon up a coherent argument that even vaguely touched upon us throwing away a 2 goal lead with 11 men and a far far superior squad under that schmuck then perhaps they might care to expand.

As I said to a pal earlier, I’m emotional as a fan; yet I now no longer invest too heavily in personnel. So me backing AVB isn’t a Villas-Boas centric campaign, rather wishing the current guy managing Spurs well. If the boss behaves like Arry did when Arry became ‘distracted’ from the pass then I’ll be the first to suggest we bin him.

Where the gaffer did the business for me was in his substitutions. We’ll do some analysis in the am, but whilst I’m fed up, I’m not angry. January will be pivotal. This side urgently needs reinforcements.

Walked away from the game – not happy but not despondent
HH is right we lost last year with 11,had lead of 2-0 and the better replacements

Really want the french man to stay in goal, want Jan in the centre with someone solid – actually want to try Smith at right back and hope for a left back soon – need a shining light for the midfield
in January and a new forward of a size that can lead the line when we play only one striker

Think Daws is worth a shout over Gallas sometimes rather than putting Naughton in at left back. Dunno why he’s so obsessed with Gallas, Dawson has plenty of experience now and is is only 5-6 years younger than AVB!! Not saying ditch Gallas fully as i think he still has his uses but Dawson deserves a run in the team now.

If Redknapp had persisted with Gallas over Dawson, Dempsey over Ade, H.H and other detractors would have taken the opportunity to slaughter him for it. “He’s just a retard cockney” blah blah etc.

So i’m actually surprised at how easy going people have been on AVB although i’m not saying it should be any other way, he still needs time. I’m just wondering for how long he will be able to dine out on one half of football at Old Trafford? Lets face it, we have been pretty Jekyl and Hyde since then.

The one thing i will say is, i was pleased he went with the front two he did yesterday and we looked pretty good until the red. Jury still very much out but the signs are semi-positive that he is willing to learn and change. The tactical genius he was supposed to be however, where the fack is he?

This may sound condescending but i don’t give a f***. It drives me nuts how many stupid fans we have that still think our woes are all at the feet of avb. I’m Sick to death of the stupid boo boys at the lane that have zero clue, have they seen the rubbish avb has to choose from, TH is our main creative midfielder, TH!

By the way, TH was directly responsible for 3 of 5 goals, and Gallas the others, I hope Kabul gets fit faster. Vert has been mustard at left back, Walker, Kabul, Caulker, Vert in front of Lloris is ideal, yes even when Benny the liability comes back.

Scott parker Isn’t going to be back anytime soon. Tom Carrol looked good and should get the nod over TH from now on.

As for this 442 rubbish everyone keeps banging on about…really?

The avb 4-2-3-1 DOES have 2 strikers and is more about transition than anything else, the 1 up top and the b in the abc that is the 3 in the middle, (this has been Dempsey up til yesterday remember he scored 20 goals in the prem last year, yes he has been poor since man utd).

The beauty of the 4-2-3-1is it’s flexibility in transition, and its the familiarity with this system that enabled us to go to 3 at the back and put 5 in mid-field in the second half, our players ARE getting better under AVB.

When attacking the 4-2-3-1 can look like a 4-4-2 diamond formation or 4-4-1-1 depending on the personnel in there.
Unless these supposed fans and media /experts go and get their coaching badges they should just stick to singing songs and buying pies and maybe actually just supporting the club instead of causing a negative atmosphere at home games over things they don’t understand, because there muppet Chelsea supporting mates have got in their head.

The fact these muppet Chelsea fans that didn’t like avb is there own deal, avb will come good, especially when he gets the players he wants, I hope he is more ruthless in putting them in when they arrive, if I have any critique of avb is that he has been too sensitive, I guess his interaction to in that horrid dressing room experience he had at “the nightmare before kick off” production that is the Chelsea.

AVB is the real deal, he does need better players than he has at his disposal, its not like Harry left him plethora of talent.

They played 70 minutes In a derby game with 10 men, 3 of who wouldn’t make stokes starting 11. They played their assess off for the fans, the club AND thier manager AVB yesterday.

Have any of these mugs considered the irony of them constantly chearing for Defoe who is in good form BECAUSE of the faith AVB has put in him, not ‘arry who left him on the bench to rott after bringing in Saha on a free? Of course they don’t…absolute morons!

Support AVB and the team at the lane, leave the booing at home for your mum as she burns your cereal in the morning, (yes that’s right burning Kellogg’s should give a clue to the intellect) I’m certain these boo boys still live at home with their mum.

I heard a guest on a podcast, an actual alleged fan say “we don’t go to the lane to watch football that will win trophies, we go to watch good football”. What the F*** was he on? You can have both! Look at Man utd, City, Barca, R Madrid, Ajax, Dortmund and yes PORTO !

The sooner the gov bring in breathing license’s that can only be issued after an iq test the better!

    COYS!

    • kranky says:

Now dissapear up your own bum. You talk rubbish. AVB OUT.

    • 77spur says:

ALRIGHT VORDERMAN. Football should be simple. Work hard without the ball,go and express yourself with it…good enough for clough and he conquered europe, harry was the same, we played the best football ive seen with that philosophy but alot of people think itS NAIVE. You Support your team and are passionate about it, thats good to see. Only time will tell about AVB and your opinion of him. Im off to share a pie with my mum.

    • East Stand says:

I agree that we all get behind AVB, we need that stability and i also thought we looked pretty good until the red card. Had we kept 11 on the pitch would we have gone deeper to defend the lead as we have in most AVB games or go on to score more? We will never know but i refuse to judge AVB on that game alone because it was all about the sending off, we also played ok with 10 in the end. Arsenal are so average now it’s untrue…

However, you can’t on the one hand defend everything AVB does by blaming the board for not signing the right players etc and then slag Redknapp off for bringing bargain bucket has-beens when he was given no money either.

He wanted Krasic from Juve that January but the board blocked anything other than a loan and the player wouldn’t come for example. If he’d have been backed more in that window could we have managed 3rd with better players than the cast offs we ended up with? Nobnody seems to defend harry’s failings by blaming the board but it seems fashionable to defend AVB on those grounds. The bigger question is whether Levy and the board are holding us back by making too many football decisions when they aren’t football people. Dempsey and Siggy… Why?

  • 77spur says:

Its time to bring chrissy hughton home. Hes ready. Bassong was fantastic AGAIN for norwich yesterday, but, our boss decided to get rid and keep gallas, just 1 of the plethora of goofs in his short tenure. Though it was a shame yesterday. AVB finally got it and went back to the simple EFFECTIVE system harry brought us success with and we could have embarassed the scum. i up and we were all over em, looked like we could get behind them at will. Then webb got his chance and took it, Ade was dumb for giving him a exuse but he probably would have found 1 sooner or later.

    • TMWNN says:

Redknapp rarely played both Defoe and Adebayor together. VB stuck to his 4231 system but with Adebayor behind Defoe rather than Dempsey behind Adebayor. It looked a good choice until he stupidly got sent off.

The move to 3 at the back is being lauded

      • TMWNN says:

… as some kind of tactical masterstroke (I remember motor-mouth doing the same away to Stoke), but why wait half an hour and until the game was effectively over to change?

We could be as low as 9th after today. Martin Jol must be looking forward to the prospect of leap frogging the club which sacked him and has far greater resources than the one he is currently at.

No doubt those who have licked HH’s arse clean will blame injuries, not being able to compete financially, our own fans and perhaps even the weather as to why 4th is starting to look beyond us, but the real culprits here are the uber-tight Joe Lewis and his little poodle like henchman, Levy. Trophies mean nothing to them, but stringing the fans along until the club can be sold for a fortune means everything.

    • LLL says:

Didn’t Bassong say that he would be back one day playing for Spurs when he left – that he would prove himself elsewhere? Bit like Kaboul.

      • Essexian76 says:

Yeah, like the 11 almost 12 years they’ve taken to sell it this despite turning RA down in 2004, but still if the facts don’t suit your idealology-keep on spouting the same old crap- and one day you may be right..!

    • 77spur says:

I meant with someone just off the striker and bale and lennon staying wide. That hasnt been done enough.

  • 77spur says:

The filthy picture i feared from the start is yet to be completed. But just as i thought chelseas results are dipping, they will lose at juve and di matteo will be off in the not too distant future, to make way for HR to slot in. Falcao may go there in jan with Torres going the other way to atletico where he started. Its a dirty picture and i hope im as mad as you think but i’m out on that limb. SABOTAGE.
