Arry’s £25M Striker & Azza’s Cadbury Snack

So Azza has a sore back.

Am I alone in believing that you average professional football is a big girls blouse who thinks twice about getting stuck in just in case they chip a nail? I actually hope that there’s nothing wrong with him and he makes use of the break to work on his game and improve himself. He really has gone right off the boil.

Citizen Redschnapps is officially on the hunt for a top class finisher then. The name in the frame this week is the boy Benzema. It’s hardly a state secret that Karim Benzema and The Special One have drifted apart of late.

Arry’s ace in the hole could prove to VdV. A favourable report back to his erstwhile Real Madrid team mate may be just the trick.

But Arry’s biggest enemy is lack of consistency and the 83 days that lie between now where Spurs are only eliminated from one competition and their league standing is just about acceptable. If I were Arry, my fear would be that if things were to deteriorate the shine of the up and coming Champions League pretenders would rapidly become tarnished. January isn’t the busy window and the summer one was riddled with more loans and loan offers than daytime telly.

We need a striker. There’s little doubt about that now but what is crucial is that the incoming chap demonstrates the same hit the ground runningness that the Dutchman has. All this time to bed in business is has now got to be something that happens to other clubs.

I think everyone’s being a bit harsh on Lennon, esp you finn. I read somewhere that he has created more league goals this season than Bale, although of course I couldnt be arsed to check. He isnt at his destructive best from early last season but has been playing in front of a clearly unfit or off form corluka and the whole team’s form has been hit and miss. Also Bale gets used much more these days whereas Lennon used to be given the ball as a matter of course. If anyone seriously thinks we should get rid of him I think theyre bonkers – that would leave Bale as our one source of pace within the team.

On a positive note I see Benzema’s price reduced from 25 million yesterday to 15 this morning – if it keeps going at that rate (and bearing in mind the bargain he got Vartman for), we can expect RM to be paying us £20 million to take him off their hands in January.

Mr Finn Lennon must be one of the most fouled players in the World he his 22 and alredy had two operations on his knee. I could see he was protecting his goin and it was a matter of time before he was back on the treatment table. Since he came back you could count on one hand the times he has bean tackled the main reason for his average form by his high standard. Let me tell you a groin and Hernia are real i new in the England camp he would get crocked just like Ferdinand did in the mad Italians Training set up. Lennon just like Lampard has had to will need yet another operation on his battered legs. training set up

I believe in Lennon, more so than McCartney. However, as of late his performances have been an useful as John’s – and they say I’m a dreamer, when all we really want is a screamer

I’m not saying get rid of him, I’m suggesting its time for a reality check. I can conceive of Capello’s regime being as awful as the rest of his reign, but Lennon was “fit” or at the least without injury during the World Cup and he was ineffective against what amounted to an international pub side. Since the beginning of this season he has also been way below par.

Come what may, anyone who can sit bigging it up, cigar in hand, on camera, after the disgrace that was the England campaign, has some issues with perspective. I have no problem with his speed and his final ball has continued to improve, when he’s beeen on form and when his head has appeared to be right.

It’s conjecture of course but I feel that he needs someone to have a sit down talk with him about the requirements of being a star player. That is Harry’s department and I await his return to form. Meanwhile, I say again I’d not be suprised if he were avoiding the spotlight when he must realise that he’s not playing well. A poor game for England now and the pressure is truly on, the press would dig in, pics of the cigar, poor form in the league blah, blah, etc, etc..

  • Finn says:

….oops, let me clarify (the problem with no preview or edit function) I am not saying he’s fully fit and avoiding playing, more that he’s perhaps letting a little niggle seem a bit worse than it is.
