Great old line from Yes Minister when Jim Hacker says,‘ One minute you’re out out of your office, the next you’re out of office.’

Arry is an old cove and will be secretly smiling at how his fortunes against Arsenal went from being furiously despised at half time to being the Second Coming just forty five minutes later.

Whatever took place in the Arsenal away dressing room at half time, the latent talent in just about every player was unlocked and our lot came out and did ’em.

I haven’t watched Arsenal for a while and I have to say that I can fully understand now how they dominate the wrong end of the Fair Play League. The second goal was due to am imbecilic handball. They need to wise up and fast.

Look, I’m no more obsessed with these things than you, but it’s bad form to espouse all this ‘technically gifted’ rubbish if by the same token you are indulging in cheap fouls and play acting like that mong spaz cad Nasri.

Anyway, feck ’em. As they head to the Batmobile, we’re off to the ratings!

Gomes 7 Redeemed himself as (did many) in the second half.

A&E 5 Like weather. Dull with wet patches.

Gallarse 9 He was on a mission. Mission accomplished.

Raging Kaboul 7 Intelligent goals from a much improving chap. Well done, mate.

Begbie 4.5 I’d like to flog him. And then, sell ‘im. In that order.

Azza Blud  5.5 Back to square one again. Meh.

Jenarse 7 Another focused performance. More please.

Modders 6.75 Blossomed a little as our shape changed.

Bale, Bale, Bale 7.35 Great players change matches and define seasons.

VDV 7.36 Oozed class once the system/shaped changed.

Crazypavinchenko 6 Didn’t get into it really. But terribly nice hair.

Defoe 6.28 A one man feel good factor. Welcome home son.

3MP 6.29 Disrupted a wonky back four.

The Sarge 6.27 A credit in the time that he had.

What was he focusing on, his boot laces?

I’ll admit, he had a much better second half, but was it possible to have worse?

Redknapp made a mess of the starting line up, but credit where it’s due; thank you fabregash.

I thought he started with our best available players, we just sat off them in the midfield in the 1st half giving them time to pick their passes.

Still can’t stop laughing at whinger’s reaction, I think we pissed him off

      agreed.

his idea of ‘playing angles’ is comparing the sharpness of his and crouch’s gigantic foreheads.

Come on, you can’t be miserable and have a downer on HR all the time… Surely!

I sometimes think that if we carried off the CL at the end of the season, you’d have ago at Harry for not doing the double! ;-)

There weren’t really a lot of other options for the weekend were there? Without the benefit of hindsightvision, would you have started with Defoe? I doubt it. Short of getting boots for Tom’s crutches, there weren’t exactly a bevvy of options for the middle?

What would have been your line-up?

Hutton pretty much made Arseshavin disappear in the second half. He and the monumental Billy G wiped up the right cheek of the arse attack with Clichy also neutralized. All this with the occasional help of Pav and Defoe as Rafa was still able to freeball it from the right side.

  • DAVID says:

Not sure about Hutton yet but would not give up on him just yet.
If we get our injured CB fit, will Kaboul play RB ?
BAE keeps making the same mistake of switching off, allowing his winger to get in behind us.
He was the same in the World cup.
Gomes needs to toughen up and his poor kicking means our players appear reluctant to pass the ball back to him.
Lennon will be fine once he regains fitness.
Apart from that, we are on the up and Harry has some serious selection questions to resolve as our injured players regain fitness.
HR comments after the game about the players having to find the self-belief was spot on.
Also, loved VDV comment that we had 3 points today but now have to do the business against Bremen. Both feet on the ground.

I think A&E needs to inflict his full on Valderrama barnet on the unsuspecting winger. It might put them off a bit.

    • Kojac says:

what a sight that would be

if bae gets injured we’ll see how he is missed, bale will have to go back infact we have no cover for our two lefties

what has nasri to smirk about

What has got nasri to smirk about?I didnt realize he was so photogenic

    • munso says:

Would loved to have seen the entire spurs team running around the pitch doing the stupid ‘wobbly-head-with-mouth-wide-open’ nasri thing at the final whistle.
