So my penalty in the 2nd half thing from the previous blog came true.

This officially means I am able to predict the future. Ish. A bit. Maybe.

At last, I can dump you schmucks that have always held me back – get my own TV show and concentrate on be a regular on ThisĀ  Awning, er This Morning… like that clinically obese schwarzer that is now chuckling/sweating up the jungle on ITV.

Am I on TV yet?

Here’s the goals, my friends…

Fabregas and their CM in general really ran the show first half despite us fielding the same line up that took Inter apart aside from the enforced Jenas for Hudd.

Modric+Jenas+VDV just could not get near the ball to play it forward or feed it to the flanks. Because Modric and VDV have been great for us I expected more from them first half. To be fair though Fabergas/Nasri as top class and Pav provided very little in front of them. We do need a strong DM in there sometimes and Pal/Sandro/Jenas cant do it yet.

Second half though was a completely different proposition. We brought the midfield flanks in to narrow the game and cover up for the dominance of their CM over ours. Also we got a proper striker up top to provide an outlet. As a result we were in the game. If you have great attacking players like we do the key is to be in the game and then let nature take is course.

Something else was desire and commitment. We have all seen Spurs teams crumble when battered in the first half especially in games like yesterday. But we showed a willingness to fight second half which was very unlike a Tottenham team in th past decade or so.

And in the end we stuffed the goons, on their own patch, stopped them going top, put us tie 4th and planning for the title, 2-0 and you mucked it up, 17 years of hurt never stopped me dreaming, oh and stick that Nasri you little s cos Gallas ended up a winner and you ended up a loser :)
