Spurs undoubtedly have a striker problem. Some might say, ‘when haven’t they?’ But Carroll to me simply doesn’t fit the bill. He’s Crounchinho with muscles, Barren Dent with brain. He’s an uberfit Mido. He’s the antiYid.
It’ll be Alan Pardew’s last act as the Toon manager when Carroll is sold, but why oh why are we linked with a guy who excelled in the Championship? We’re on our way now. It is great to see that the Spurs faithful have stepped up and called HH out on this one. Carroll is the most talented young striker on the planet and would be a massive upgrade to our front line.
He possesses the perfect combination of Kevin Davies and Jermaine Defoe’s best traits. Dominates in the air, wears defenders down, makes great runs off the ball and has an incredibly quick release on his shot.
Playing in our system and with our great coaching staff to fine tune his game, you would need a calculator to tally the number of goals Carroll would put up.
