Crouch Out

Mornin’.

Well it could be worse. you could have woken up to discover you were Roy Hodgson.

Last night’s footy was quite mad across the board. Chelsea lost another wheel last night losing to Wolves. The French found Joe Hart in too finer form in a game that mirrored our own season opening tussle in many respects. The double sending off was spot on, but to be frank I would have shown Song a straight red just for looking like an Ipswich pimp.

Everton just looked more like a team that played football on the floor and it makes me cringe when we hit the ball over Modder’s head and turn possession into a 50/50 ball. Crouch out.

I acknowledge that the knockdown balls to VdV work, but at what ratio? One in 27 resulting in a goal? I don’t like it and I’d like us to stop doing it. It’s quite unseemly all this hoofing and hoping. What is this an open audition for an Old Time Dancing show or one of the world’s most stylish sides trying to play football?

Here’s a clip of a side winning.

Good grief people simmer down. That was our 4 match in 11 days, the first two we played portions with 10 men. Our first loss in 12 matches. Instead of aiming your ire at Crouch it should be pointed at ‘Arry. Between Van der Vaart, Bale and Pavlyuchenko we have 30 goals. Defoe only just recently came back from a long term injury and Crouch has 6 assists.

Defoe needs time and matches to get back in rhythm and Crouch will continue to create goals for either Van der Vaart or Defoe. Did anyone question the idea of keeping Jenas out there when our midfield was completely overrun? We are great going forward but when we lose possession we are very vulnerable. Palacios should been brought on. No one questions the inclusion of Kranjcar and Keane for Bale and Lennon which changed our whole set up. All of a sudden we had no pace in attack, which allowed Everton’s fullbacks to inch further forward. We had no pace on the bench. This should give further insight into why we are interested in Pienaar. However this does not explain our interest in Beckham.

We have an extremely deep squad and players at our disposal that came through the youth system. It is time ‘Arry utilises all of his resources instead of absently blaming Crouch or others, that and us spending stupidly. Time for ‘Arry to blood the youngsters.

Anyone like the idea of bringing back Kyle Walker? This would allow ‘Arry to push Hutton further up and Walker slots in at right back. Much better option than Keane.

We have one thing i common we love Spurs but that is all we have two things you don’t no about is job losses and energy cheats ,Saha had not scored for 11 months you Harry want Crouch sold and a new player brought in he scores in Europe and international .. He has made plenty for to the Van helped to keep out Newcastle. What we fans need to ask is why do some teams have loads of extra energy after half . If learn this you will be less critical and shocks like Wolves 1 Chelsea 0 Everton Wigan West Ham Bolton wont shock you and just maybe with enough voices joining me we may just save a few managers jobs and players from being hounded out by cheats. its simple and i have bean told by the very people whose job it is to stop it they cant and the only fish is Danny Cadamateri ex Everton and Paddy Kenny two tiddlers . So we will have to live with shocks and the new Football Tazers if i am alone voice

Lads i need to apologise for my mistakes my keyboard is playing up. My message to my fellow Spurs Fans is this trust me i live in the North West and even my sisters post man takes Ephedrine no not to deliver letters but to play for is local Rugby team. That is how bad its got so Everton and the fucked Saha did not surprise me when they ran and ran us of the park in the second half even 35 year old Neville.

Defoe and Pavs are both averaging less than 10 touches a match. Defoe only had four in sixty minutes against Chelsea in a match where we dominated the possession in the first half. If you take away the long balls, I doubt Crouch has any more touches than that either.

I personally don’t think any of our strikers are great finishers (PSB was in his prime), but I think there are bigger, systemic issues for our striker scoring woes. Some of these are:

    – Without Thudd, we do not have any passers capable of playing through balls to our strikers or deliver balls to their feet
    – Modders, Sarge and JJ have been excellent at getting into open space in the centre of the attacking zone, but they are all mediocre passers and never seem to connect on passes to our strikers.
    – There doesn’t seem to be any chemistry between the mids and strikers either as we rotate players far too often up front
    – On the counter attacks where there is space to get the ball to the strikers, our wingers either do not make good passes or most often try to take the ball deep and play for the cross instead
    – Our defence does not support our attack and plays way too deep (especially with Daws in the lineup or in away games). In Chelsea’s match last night every time they lost possession their defenders were on the halfway stripe immediately recovering the ball, preventing Wolves from resetting their defence. Drogba and Kalou had 53 touches in their attacking zone as a result.
