Spurs Officially The 5th Biggest Premiership Side

Whilst randomly pressing buttons on the Barclays Premiership Fantasy Football website …it became evident that there was some almost interesting information there.

In the absence of a formal census, the figures you can pull out give a snapshot of support levels across the top flight teams. Now obviously this isn’t exactly the word of God. But it is the word of over 2 million people who when asked told the site who they supported.

The limitations are obvious. They don’t include the fans who don’t play this particular fantasy game nor those fans who’s support is undying, but they are too thick/impoverished/generally disinterested in the Internet.

Which DB would you rather have covering Lennon in the event he’s injured or just needs a game off after the glut of fixtures over the festive period here? Bentley or Beckham?

Me, I’ll have the latter, thanks.

If Chelsea have such a huge following how come when the premiership started they couldnt get over 8 thousand for a home game agaisnt Norwich. Not a big game granted and a bit of a while back but still. I’m just looking forward to their fall from grace. Unlike Newcastle and Liverpool whose fanbase is pretty solid Chealsea’s is just built on recent successs. There is a couple of nippers who are sons of friends. They are are about 8 or 9 who think they support them but have said they will support Spurs if we get Beckam and stay above them in the league. I blame the parents.

I remember us getting a sellout for brentford in the carling cup and those planks only getting 16/17,000 for a champions league game on the same night

TV images have shown Harry Redknapp sat in the El Madrigal, watching Villarreal currently outplay Almeria. Now, I’m no ITK, but why else would Harry be watching this game, unless he was seriously interested in a player on display?

Prior to our pre-season friendly with Villarreal in July 2010, a few media sources ran with the story that Spurs were interested in signing the former Manchester United and Italian International striker, Giuseppe Rossi. He scored a couple in that game and showed us that he is class.

With Villarreal in serious debt, who knows, maybe a £12 million bid could tempt them to part with their star man? I could see him being an ideal signing for us, even replicating the euphoria that has surrounded Rafa’s lilywhite entrance.

most fat or ginger kids support Utd. We dont need that kind of support, although I suspect it is easier to get a ticket to a Utd game than Spurs.

    • jfdit says:

are you the real JGM or his imposter?

I can’t get these spurs’ fans who let their kids follow chelshit or the goons – I’d sell/adopt the little fuckers off if they were mine.

      follow spurs or FRO

T agree with jgm perseptive insight on the mancs fanbase, why else would scholes and sojsjaer be attreacted to them, also fidget has the right idea about off course nippers,

  • rob keys says:

Chelsea are not on the same planet support wise as spurs….only the most deluded chavs would believe they are….arse support is probably bigger than spurs in greater london NOW mainly due to immigrants who support a team based on success, not history….but country wide spurs have just as large a fanbase as goons….if not greater!!
