Suarez NOT Leaving Ajax Says …Suarez

Some Spurs fans appear to have developed an almost mystical belief that Luis Suarez is on his way.

I was confused enough when some  suggested (when Martin Jol was yet to be found out still in charge at Ajax) that ‘because he  secretly loved us still’ he’d some how slip us Suarez while no one was looking…

As the transfer window hots up (yes, I’m reading this off a card) these quotes to NU Sport a Dutch site yesterday kindda indicate that the player is not going anywhere.

“There are many stories written in the Netherlands.  I have only one interview and it never said I want to leave. There are many clubs mentioned but I know nothing. “

“I hope to be a champion with this club . I would now give anything for the team.”

Obviously people are allowed to change their minds. I changed my mind once and the bitch is still desperately bitter about it.

Yes 28 January is D Day apparently. Just get the overall impression that the momentum is with Stratford and cannot see how the committee could go for WHAM who look like being in the Championship. They want to see the stadium in whatever guise it takes be full to the rafters, WHAM would not give that and hence Spurs might be `the only game in town` when the decision is made.
For me it would be very sad if we did leave WHL but with no subsidies being offered to us by way of upgrading the transport or infrastructure around WHL I just do not think we can stay as it will just be that much more expensive (over £100 million more).

Yes, it makes perfect sense to knock down a brand new £500m+ stadium and build a new one on the same spot.

I have no idea about building costs so had a quick look on T’internet and found the stadium of light cost a total of £23 million to build from scratch.
That was 15 years ago and the capacity is just below 50,000 but even allowing for the 15 years inflation and the fact our stadium will be bigger, if you can build stadiums that cheap, you can see why Levy is tempted by the OS and why we can afford to knock it down and re-buld it and spend money to tart up Crystal Palace athletics track.
But it does beg the question asto why the NL development is costed at £500,000 million and counting.

Our new signing Khumalo played for a ‘Spurs XI’ (kids) against Palace today. We won 4-2 but no idea how he played.
