Good afternoon.

I trust everyone’s vocal chords, hangovers and rigor mortis like smiles are all gradually easing and you’re letting it finally sink in that we’re pretty damn good at playing football. Again. At long last.

This is made me chuckle and so being the wonderful human being I am I thought I’d share it with you bar stewards. It’s off the Italian telly from last night. I haven’t a clue what they’re actually saying but by the same token I know exactly what they mean.

Enjoy.

An adductor strain isnt too bad. A couple of weeks. Niggling injuries will happen after 15 months out.

Arsenal are going to have a very hard time getting through. Obviously must feel good to come from behind, but soberminded gooners won’t be too optimistic.

    Us on the other hand…

How good does that sound

How unlucky is he. Still, having been out so long, it is not surprising he will have a few problems. Any idea how serious this type of injury is and what the recovery time will be ?
Wonder if it is the same injury that has kept him out for so long.
Suppose we have cover in that position, but such a shame for the player.

Barca managed to lose a game they were in total control of. They seemed to lose interest as the game went on.
Even with that, Messi missed about 3 one on ones, they should have had a penalty at the end for Arshavin handball and their offside goal should have stood.
If Barca go out, it must increase everyone elses chances, including ours, of winning the competition.

Barca took their foot off the gas last year at the Immigrants Stadium and did so again tonight. They’ll win comfortably at home though.

Wilshire was superb tonight, particularly in the 2nd half. I’d like to see him play alongside Hudds for England. Shame Capello doesn’t have the balls to drop Gareth Barry.
