Fact is, for all the woe and misery and ‘mucking it up’ we’ve supposed to have been doing so far this season… We’re still one point better off now than we were last year at the same number of games and we’re in the CL last 16. Not bad going.

Could also do a lot worse… Most clubs that have ‘tinkered’ with the CL like Everton have ended up battling relegation for half of the season. I think it’s a huge statement of how far we’ve come… And can go.
