What you call a result.

The absence of VdV, Bale and Modders has left us looking like the hotch potch that went to Sunderland.

Mr Van der Vaart has confirmed via Twitter…

“Good news. Back on the pitch tomorrow, can’t wait to put on my shirt again!”

…and he’s even supplied a snap of his match shirt!

Bloody hell. Win our game in hand and we are third on merit.
And we are doing it with half our first team missing.
May be watching tomorrows game from behind the sofa.
Having said that, if we are to qualify for next years CL, we must finish top 4 in this years PL so perhaps we should try and view the PL matches as the more important and just enjoy the ride in this years CL.
Trying (and failing) to convince myself the AC Milan games are not that important. But it has been an incredible ride and I don’t want it to end.

This just about sums up the joy of being Spurs supporter for me. None of that ‘Oh, I’m so bored & over everything of the Manc’s or the petulant, victim mentality blatherings of L’Arses… Just the sheer unadulterated joy of seeing your team do well and playing the best.

This feels slightly dirty to say, but we may want to hope ManU start rounding into form. They’re 10 points up on us, so we likely won’t catch them. And they play the Arse once and Chavs twice, so they will have some say in where we finish.

Hope Man U win all their remaining games as it means L’Arse cannot win the title.
The scariest thing for me is they could still win it, particularly as they have what appeaers to be an easier run-in than most of the other teams at the top.

Apparently Bale flew with the lads to Milan.

What a great result from Fulham and evidence again that the Chavs have lost a lot of traction this year. I’d so love to finish 3rd this year (2nd would be better but hey lets be realistic!). Its not so far fetched if we win the games against those below us and sneak a point or two on the top 5/6. eevreyone has to play everyone still so it really is game on.

Milan will be tricky as I sense that we may be going with a bit too much cockiness after Inter! That said we are similar teams good going forward potentially weak at the back. I notice that they have the worst disciplinary record in the CL; funny that for Italians eh? However it does mean they likely have no qualms in putting it about a bit and maybe the boy Bale is best left out of what might otherwise be a shooting gallery at his legs.

Crouch to start, he’s a pain domestically but the foreigners don’t like him, that why he does well in internationals too. Lone striker pack the midfield and have VDV play off him, with Niko backing up.

I hope Gallas is fit the backs will be tested….

  • Trying to get a half night holiday for tomorrow….. Else I will be breaking the company IT rules again….
