Arry For Ancelotti Swap Is Very Definitely On

On the way back home from a wedding that I can barely describe using words I was listening to the radiogram in the Roller and Cheatski fans in some number (well I heard 3) wanted to swap our Arry for Carlo Ancelotti.

This rendered me very close to speechless right up until of course the point where I began speaking again.

I am not an Arry out merchant. Yes – there is bundle of things wrong with him, but it did get me thinking. My perspective on, ‘so and so out!’ has always been the same: Cool – so who then?

Depressing isn’t the word. ODM uses the phrase, ‘careful what you wish for’ and this ain’t said lightly by him. He’s seen it.  Let the shipwrecks of others indeed be your marker in the storm. Rafa out = Uncle Roy in. The unabridged litany of examples within our own walls give the Bindippers a genuine run for their money.

Ancelotti is an intelligent, thoughtful,  top draw serial winner both as a player and as manager. His term at Chelsea has been plagued on all fronts. Injury, age and owner interference have dogged him this season at SecondHand Fridge.

If there is a chance of him being insanely dumped by Ibramovich then this is the next man for us. Sick of shoulder shrugging and twitching? Get a man with an eyebrow action that would shame Roger Moore in. Not a competent crisis manager, but a winner.

I’m serious.

He’s made mistakes but I still love Harry. Have a soft spot and he has done more than ok and will still be hard to replace. And frankly Spurs fans that speak like $h1t of him, well, is disrespectful – and shows them up when you look at his win % and standing in the game. I’m still very grateful, Harry. Without you we still wouldn’t have been in CL yet.

Well said, totally agree with you and ODM. Have just had our best (only??) run in Europe’s premier Competition for over 40 years and will finish outside the top 4 mainly cos we’ve had 9 draws at home. The last person to blame for that is Arry. Where has he been so tactically inept?? Do we not try to play attacking football at every occassion? How piss poor would it be for us to have a foreign manager who, having gone one up would want us to TRY to play keep ball, maintain a line 25 yards out and as we all know we’d then loose. It seems that if H had an italian or spanish accent he’d be tolerated a lot more by some. Very sad.

If we could get him, Hiddink would be the best man for the job. The media circus that follows Mourinho’s mouth would be like having Tattoo Man with us.

Plus the Italians are too negative in their approach to the game. It could be argued they have killed Brazilian style football or what we call Dutch Total Football.

So now we’re back to Hiddink.

    Redknapp OUT!

Rednapp is clueless and has shown his true colours this second half of the season. Last season was a flash in the pan. Can you imagine any other top four manager going 12 games with only one win?? The sooner people realise that arry talks the talk but dosent walk the walk the sooner we can bring in someone who can work wonders given the cash. I think moyes would do a good job for given the resources arry was given. Another season with Rednapp in charge is going to take us further back. He simply hasn’t been good enough to capitalise on our success last season and take us forward. Its one step forward and 10 back with arry in charge.

Ancelotti went 11 games with only two wins earlier this season which ain’t exactly a million miles away from one in 12.

….eastanglianspur….what have the Italians got to do with it? Mourinho is Portuguese. I’d have him, but for now we have Harry, let’s not forget what he has achieved, since ’61 Spurs problem has been underachieving against the low clubs….6 extra points this season and we’d be there, think Wigan, Wolves, Blackpool and goalline technology!

    • eastanglianspur says:

I think you will find that Ancelotti is Italian and Harry Boy H was talking about a Redknapp Ancelotti swap.

I wouldn’t want to see an Italian manager at Spurs and for the reasons I mentioned.

No chance of Mourinho anyway – he’s out of Levy’s financial league.

It would be good to see what David Moyes could achieve with a bit of money to spend. Given Arry’s court case and England desires I just hope that Levy is doing some decent succession planning on the manager front and not doing what happens every transfer window and waitng until the very last minute before landing somebody hopeless, like Rasiak or somebody who clearly isn’t a fit like VDV.
