‘Been in Vegas on a mates stag do this week and happened to meet Jermain Defoe, Tom Huddlestone and Ian Wright.
Talked in length with JD on the roulette table and he is actively looking to leave and even mentioned joining Arsenal. Says hes in his peak age wise and needs to be playing, said he never got fully fit because HR didn’t pick him even if he scored! No reserves meant he got no games to pick up sharpness after injury. HR doesn’t want him to leave but wont guarantee him football. His agent was also with him and said hes investigating interest and we should find out in the next 2 weeks when hes back from holiday.

Wasn’t he injured a while? Scored 2 belters when he came back at Wolves and was dropped. Nice work again from the manager. Saved our ass v Blackpuddin at home and got another beaut VS West brom? which should have been the winner if anyone had bothered to close down Si cox. You obviously only watch match of the day mate, if you watched the full 90 minute matches that Defoe plays in you would know that:
1. He cant hold up the ball
2. Doesnt and cant pass
3. Has no aerial presence
4. Poor Movement
5. Misses easy chances
6. Doesnt assist
Basically he has a decent long range shot on him, the fact he scored against West Brom, Wolves and Blackpool probably shows the level he should be playing at.
Simply mark my words, if we sign anyone new they will be better than Defoe who I personally think is our worst striker at the club, have never rated him and can see why we sold him in the first place, he should go and play under 14 football he has the same strength and size as 13 year olds
Thats fair enough bud. I love the old “you must only watch match of the day” mantra. That aside you can watch 90 mins of football without going. Plus i don’t go as much as i used to cos of Money??? But you obviously do not rate JD. thats ok with me. But i have been to plenty of games and seen him do all those things you’ve stated he can’t do. He’s not done it this year. I know. But saying he has no aerial presense is kinda silly. he is 2 foot tall. Not a hold up the ball type of player, needs a foil etc, although i’ve seen him do good stuff in that respect too. Not saying he’s the bollox just mind the old, “MATCH OF THE DAY” Routine. Played regular in the right system he’s a gooden. All that aside he’s missed some fecking sitters this year. He was better in his first stint, but i’d give him next season to prove himself again.

Defoe should have been replaced long ago, along with his equally ineffective strike partners Crouch and the flat-track nonce Pav. Blame the manager for allowing the striker fiasco to run while mnissing out on better options like Carroll and Suarez.
