Incredible Signing This Weekend

Good morning,

A few lines into this and many but I hope not all will ‘switch’ off and indeed log off.

What I have for you is an opportunity to make an incredible signing – for yourself – and for others. Are you simply a one dimensional drone, or do you have a little more about you?

I’d like you to sign the petition for the full government disclosure and publication of all documents, discussions and reports relating to the 1989 Hillsborough disaster. HERE

The reason is quite straightforward it is an opportunity for the truth to be revealed and hopefully for not just football, but real people and that includes you, to benefit.

You may not like Scousers. You may have a ‘so what?’ attitude towards the whole Hillsborough incident, but you are a football fan and you are in a position to remind the government of the day that football fans are not some sub species who can be treated like fools. Just on the whole club thing, you do know that a Tottenham fan died that day? Andrew Sefton was his name. Mabsy went to his funeral.

Online petitions as a generally hopeless affairs. But this one currently has over 65,000 signatures. It takes less than 30 seconds to add your signature. Why should we wait for the full 30 years?  Go on. Sign.

HERE

Thank you.

    I’ll be signing.

It is outrageous that so many people died as a result of Police incompetence, and received a pittance, and police officers were awarded fortunes, and allowed early retirement on pensions for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Signed it, it’s increased by 3,000 in 3 hours, not bad going.

I notice that the verbals have started from Fergie, he does this all the time but now he has some ammunition courtesy of Harry’s fat trap. If Redknapp is going to ignore Chas and Dave, he could at least start a few mind games of his own in the direction of Old Trafford.

On another note I was tempted back to a Bleacher Report article (despite swearing never to go there again) but it was a very good and balanced look at Niko and how he’s been utilised (or not) by Harry. Check it out.

Sorry of this offends HH, but I look at it as positive re-inforcement: if they write decent stuff about the club we should encourage it with a few well deserved clicks, not like we’ll trade is it.

      No, the show goes on.

You can set your watch by Sluralix. You’d never know we were playing on Monday, eh?

I like the BleacherReport site, it just seems to take about 37 days to load. Hang on – so does this one

I’ve seen glaciers in Norway. I can reliably inform you that they move quicker than this site. However; it’s worth the wait.

          semi colon! …up yours!
          You pathetic over ego’d doik

        • SteveSpur says:

If one begins a sentence with “However”,it must be followed by a semi colon. Just as, in your post, there should have been a comma after pathetic.
I don’t make the rules, but at least I follow them.
I really don’t mind you belittling me, but don’t make fool of yourself in the process. It defeats the object.

        • 39 39 39 says:

          Yer over educated as well!
How come you’re so facking wonderful?

        • SteveSpur says:

          Sorry 39,
I can’t see a reply tab on your last post.
The mere fact that you can consider the possibility of over-education speaks volumes.
I am what I am, as are you.
I certainly don’t think I’m wonderful. I question myself, and my existence, every day. I invariably fail to provide satisfactory answers.
L’Arse get stuffed, and “Whinger” finds his spectacles in time to dispute both goals. Same shit, different season.

        • 39 39 39 says:

Fackinel you’re a diplomat, you certainly know your grammar(did you go to Grammar school?)
You make me smile,as for the reply tag, we are both lacking in that area.
          Can’t argue with that!
I am in a state of pre-Monday(first serious match) tension, fizzing and bubbling with anticipation.
          I know I’m an idiot

          :silly:

        Dear SteveSpur,

Pedantic and over-educated probably, but just thought I’d let you know that ‘however’ at the beginning of a sentence can be correctly followed by a comma. In fact, while some grammarians claim you should never use however as a substitute for nevertheless, the most common way of doing so is with a comma. Using a semi-colon is incorrect in most, if not all, contexts, as it takes away from the word’s conjunctive purpose.

        So there. :-p

Also, 39 was out of order.

        • 39 39 39 says:

I know! and I feel ashamed of myself.

        • 39 39 39 says:

I thought about checking the grammatical verity of Steve’s claim but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, because on the whole, I appreciate his(pedantic)energy.
