The Arry Redschnapps Survey Aug 2011

Good morning ladies,

Some interesting blood letting going on in down town Tottinghamshire last night and this morning. What I’m finding interesting is the contrast between what we are experiencing and what is occurring amongst our chums the Woolwich Wanderers.

Even Paul Merson gave Aunty Wenger a blast yesterday, all Plan A and no Plan B he said. About five times. Leading Arch Deacon in the gooner religious cult Alan Smith was on the telly reciting all the glaringly obvious areas that Arsene needs to address in the next what, three days in order to give the gunners half a chance.

A Spurs manager and an Arsenal manager finally, firmly in the same bracket. Whodaeverthunkit?

Bolton are good team to cite here and and I never thought I’d write those words in a favourable way. I don’t hail Owen Coyle as a messiah, but you cannot debate that the performance he got out out of someĀ  – it has to be said – some pretty gormless players last Sunday was tangibly superior to the train wreck served up at The Lane yesterday.

The trotters faced essentially the same Manchester City players, playing in a very similar manner. Dzeko was in identical form yet only managed one goal. Barry took an almost identical wallop from outside the box. Aa Silva even repeated faking injury and falling over a bit. The similarities, I promise you were frightening.

The difference was that Bolton when they conceded did not give up. The difference was that whilst the City fans sang their socks off, the Bolton fans got stuck in and let everyone know who was the home side. The difference is that tactically and as individuals Bolton had enough about them to only lose to a bloody good side by one goal.

I’ve been accused by heretics  of not only Arry bashing but inciting said bashing recently. Perhaps this survey, available to all lovers. mothers, daughters and haters alike will demonstrate if there really is angst in the camp or if there is not. Surveys are a numbers game. Opinions nailed down to how many people really feel that way. Not some wide eyed loner typing into a comments box, I represent many who feel the same way… (these clowns routinely do not by the way) one IP, one vote.

If I’ve ticked the right buttons, you ought to be able to answer each question once, but choose more than one answer to each.Hit the image below, should take you between no time at all and two minutes…

how can one little skinny rat cause so much fuss on and off the field is beyond me, it’s taken us years building this squad and only for this fucking gutter rat to wreck everything the club and supporters have worked so hard for, well here’s what i want levy to do, simple let the petulant little shit rot on the bench and if any offers come from chelscum we can tell them to shove it right up their fat arse.

    Just read this:

As said previously this summer, Levy and Harry really don’t see eye to eye

No one at the club can convince Levy of anything.

Levy is still refusing to drop prices of the likes of Bentley

Levy isn’t used to being told what to do by Agents, players etc. In his business world, he’s king, here the players are and he’s not getting it.

The players ALL want Modric gone. He’s ruined the dressing room.

Chelsea are in Modric’s ear every two seconds telling him to go on strike and force a move

My gut tells me Levy needs to stick to his guns and send a message that whole dressing room about who is boss. This idea that the players run things is perverse and disgusting and needs fixing. These kind of issues rarely come up in North American sports where there are strict salary caps, and as a consequence highly competetive leagues, no one can ever feel confident predicting the winner of any major league over here. If a team wants to pay “filthy” stupid money they can only pay peanuts to the rest…keeps most of them honest and you gets a competition, not a procession. UEFA need to drop the FFP and bring in a cap. in the mean time I’m behind Levy

Agree with the sentiment and about the competitiveness of American sports. Trouble is Levy has got this one wrong. Every player has their price. Ronaldo being an example. The mancs sold him and barely suffered.

This has now become about Levy, not whats best for Spurs.

When Chelsea bid, he should have told Chelsea his price. Most people of sound judgement would accept 35M plus is adequate. He could have told Modric if someone meets his price then he could go.

We could have got a decent defender and striker for that money. Areas that need it. Losing Modrich would have hurt, but we could cope.

He’s good, but he’s not that good.

I’d rather see 2-3 world class players on every team (isn’t that the way it used to be?) than have them all playing for 2 teams then we are just SPL+

      • Finn says:

Ronaldo did not go to Chelsea or Arsenal, he went abroad: we cannnot be strengthening our opponents.

We are also only really in this position because Chelsea have stiffed us before and we capitulated for a price, they also saw SAF do a job on us with Carrick then the bulgarian.

Its not about the cost, its about the value!
