Are We There Yet? Are We There Yet? Are We There Yet?

Good morning.

I read the squad sheet for this evenings game and I’m struggling to work up any enthusiasm. With only two first team ‘names’ , this looks very likely to be on a par with the unadulterated toss served up against Hearts at least time out.

Why the hate for the kids? Well it’s not hate you see, more an instance of me liking to get what I ordered. I like Chinese food. But if I sit down in a steakhouse, order the rib eye and all the trimmings I don’t really expect to have duck, pancakes etc plonked down before me.

I’m happy enough to go watch the youth players. I’d part with a fiver and take my chances with the best of you. But this is Europe, whatever brain numbing spin you want to put on it and I didn’t order kids. This is Europe.

One angle that has been mumbled on several occasions by our tight lipped supremo is the old ‘Thursdays and Sundays is a killer’ routine. Can someone with a Phd is Egg-timers or above kindly explain the difference between Thursdays and Saturdays and Wednesdays and Saturdays?

Dont see the bother with picking a young team.

    1. Makes a change for Harry actually play these youngters, be it in a competition he clearly dont give a toos about.

    2. We just plain and simple have too many injuries and player such as Bentley, Palacious & Jenas who usually wouldve stepped in have left and are now replaced by these youngsters.

More concerned with Redknapp wh*ring himself around for the England job once again. Would you be playing out your skin for a manager knowing he’s doing the bunk in a few months, too easy to rest on their laurels with a lack of focus on a long term project for my liking.

Having seriously toyed with the idea of going to the game I’m now pleased I didn’t part with the air fare. For the players sake I trust our support won’t be overly depleted.

Having said all that, I’m intrigued to see (assuming he gets the opportunity to ‘run about a bit’) how G2Saints gets on.

I think you’ve nailed my thoughts in a nutshell, I’m intrigued a bit like watching you kid take it’s first bike ride without stabilisers, you fear the worst and hope for the best, but you know they’ve got to learn even if your watching with your hands over you eyes and heart in the mouth.

I s’pose it’s a good thing that the kids do occasionally get a chance to appear in the famous old white shirt in some of the less important games ….gives ’em a chance to get used to the boo-boys and blog-based slaggers off if they don’t play a blinder, before they make their first full bloodied Prem apprearance – in a “welcome to the world of professional football” and ” we support the team you play for” kind of way.

    Ledder’s knee is catching……….
Swansea City have been dealt yet another injury blow with the news that Steven Caulker is set for up to 2 months on the sidelines.

The 19 year-old, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, suffered the injury during last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Arsenal, when he made a goal-line clearance.

He damaged knee cartilage when he made contact with the goalpost and he twisted his knee in the net.

A scan this week confirmed the injury and the news comes as a big blow as Caulker has been superb in all four league games he’s played in.

Complimentary re-occuring knee problem with every defender ‘purchased’! This twice-in-a-season offer is exclusively available from riot-torn areas of North London…
