Good Morning.

Stone me. I went to see Alabama 3 last night. Been some fair time since I first saw them and if I left with only one thought it was that their audience these days is a demographic I want no part of. Ever been trapped in a dimly lit public toilet with flatulent geriatric swingers? I say swingers but that implies a frisson of sexual adventure. The last person to lay a hand on the bulk of this lot’s naked flesh was almost certainly a midwife.

So to the game.

After having a cursory flick through the rest of this week’s games the Interlull has down a number of sides the power of goo and I would hope that this refreshed factor would apply to us too. We could go 4th. A win would put us 3rd. But as everyone else has played we’ll stay 5th even if we botch it. But I must stress I do not anticipate that happening. Our form is only bettered by City. We are officially doing quite nicely thank you very much.

The Villa’s record is littered with their usual array of drawn games. Particularly away from home where they have drawn 4 lost 1 out of the last 5.

The friendlies don’t appear to have taken too greater a toll on us, van der Vaart has apparently responded well to the cod liver oil and shaken off his hamstring. Pathe News Boy has been lying in a floatation tank filled with deep heat listening to Winston Churchill recordings after his victory against the Amarda.

Prediction? Ade’s due a goal. He’s been off the score sheet yet contributed selflessly when he has played I’d like to see him beaming and throwing some shapes on the touchline again. Villa will pack the midfield and hope to get Barren Dent away on the break, so it’s vital we have a strategy in place that allows us to play football.

My heart says 3-0, my head says 2-0. If they score it’ll be down to us and one or more of our lot will be in line for a right telling off and no mistake. Monday night football.

What is a a teams defence to do when you have adebayor ,bale,Van the man and lennon bearing down on you and then the midfield of parker and modders pushing forward with walker and benny crossing the balls from left to right at will.not to mention the collosai of Ledders and martin jols love child cleaning up at the back.Fried eels is just a spectator.Benny looked frightening tonight with his war hair out.At the risk of upsetting the pc ers didnt robertsons jam used to have a badge with the same hair?

Hartley has it bang on, getting rid of that gormless prick, Crouch, and that spineless toad, *****, was the best thing that happened in the window.

Credit where it’s due though, signing Adebayor, Parker and Friedel has plugged 3 gaping holes.

Let’s try to make the two loan deals permanent.

    25 from 27, love it!

Great Win , great performance. Villa were so crap. McLeish does not know what he is doing even QPR posed a bigger threat. But you can only beat the team infront of you and thats exactly what we did. We beat them. We beat them so bad it was embarrassing. With so many defenders I was worried Villa would shut up shop but as soon as we got the early goal we were cruising. Credit to Arry we are predictable in our selection and subs ( I wonder if Bet24 etc take any bets on the VDV- Defoe substitution after 60mins ??? Even Stevie Wonder can see that one coming ) but if aint broke please Arry dont fix it. Bring on Roy and WBA.

mcleish is as negative as they come in setting his team out,but they still have real pace on the counter and we dealt with it easily because we are a very good team, fair play to kaboom and parker they let ledley take it easy so he can spot the danger, they all have their moments in a match, kaboom commanded the air battle

70% poss is about as good as it gets, they didn’t want to play football and we still beat them up,its not our problem

    Mcleish better watch his back!

I know many a Villa fan who weren’t too chuffed about him getting the job in the first place, and after last nights abject performance the rumbles of discontent are only going to get louder.

Not that we’ve ever had those kind of issues with dear old ‘Arry……oh no sir!

I think the difference between us and Villa fans is that we have a manager that has produced results such as an 8-4-5 in three seasons.

It’s easy to see with Villa’s history, which is far more illustrious than ours, why they would be pissed of with a manager that might get them into the top ten. While we are pissed off with a manager who has yet to finish outside the top eight, and people wonder why.
