Good evening.

Sensationalist headline, so this needs to be good Aitch! Rest assured that it genuinely is. This is from a source so reliable and true I rarely blog much from the old girl as it might compromise matters for her. Whilst this is tasty, it’s a good few people removed. So we’re all good.

Mark Hughes has not only been lined up, but Mark Hughes is on standby

Should ‘circumstances beyond anyone’s control’ (see what I did there? and big hello to the Metropolitan Police Force) arise, then there has to be a Plan ‘B’.

Well Mark Hughes is ours.

I want to set the record straight the only replacement for HR is DB (Derren Brown) he would do absolute wonders for the minds of our players, he could just do his Jedi mind trick stuff to make them play at 150% efficiency! We’ll be banging in 8 goals a game!

Hughes would be a step backwards in my view. I actually think it very likely that HR may be heading for a spell in the big house as HMRC tend to make an example of high profile offenders. Don’t laugh but my ideal replacement would be Hoddle. He has a great approach to the game and has matured so much since his initial entry into management.

Last nights Dutch cup game between Ajax and AZ Alkmaar was abandoned because a pitch invader tried to kick the AZ goalkeeper, in return the keeper kicked the man to the ground and proceeded to kick him again while he lay in agony. The ref sent the keeper off and in protest the AZ coach removed his team from the playing field.

What we would not want is too much change. If Arry gets a custodial it might be quite short so as long as he behaves himself and stops talking every once in a while he might be out for pre-season. Therefore we need a safe pair of hands for a few months. I reckon Levy will go for Tim Sherwood.
