And here’s today’s thought for you. Graham Roberts was on talkSPORT today and named A&E as his weakest link in the current Tottingham team sheet.
The sanity of identifying Benny Sue as our weak link evades me. He’s called A&E for a reason of course – whilst on a run of assured performances there is always a vague underlying threat of a trip to casualty – but he’s been great of late. I also believe he’s added hugely to the positive vibe that’s about the club right now.
So if you were Arry; what move would make in January? The January window is ordinarily a relatively sober affair.

Pav out, Llorente or Huntelaar in.
Are we talking realistic transfers or football manager, fantasy team transfers? In an ideal world, where money isn’t a problem, I’d ship out Pav.. I’d always felt he never got a fair deal, cos he scores some cracking goals.. but I’ve also always known he’s a lazy bar steward.. until Ade turned up, our only other alternative was Crouch, so the rose tinted specs are now off.. Replacement for him would be Cavani.. I’d ship out Jenas, Bentley and whoever else we have absolutely no need for and use the £2.73 that we received to put towards buying Lavezzi.. I’d let Kranky find a new home and bring in Shinji Kagawa.. I’d let Bassong go and bring in Samba.. and I’d ship out Gomes (despite me not agreeing with everyone who says he sucks, his confidence is gone now) to be replaced with Afinkeev..
Then I’d keep my fingers crossed that we won the Premiership and the Champions League for the next 5 years so we didn’t go bankrupt..
In reality, I’d settle for shipping all those players out and making Ade permanent, maybe bringing in Krul for Gomes.. I’m not sure that Cahill is good enough for us, but I doubt we could afford Samba.. tough call

My thoughts exactly…hit the nail on the head there…
It’s a shame that Pav never made it (but what Ruskie ever does over here) … So Pav out, JJ out (if he ever recovers from injury), Bassong, Defoe, Gomez and Bentley … In, well another forward that is used to the PL/Europe football … so that won’t be Damiao then, prefer Hulk or somebody of that style, as for Samba and Cahill … no to both, neither are any better than Bassong and i feel with Gallas back and dawson soon to be back what is the point. Only another Goalkeeper and even that could wait until the summer as our current No2 is fine.
Anybody is better than Bassong, he is hopeless, gives goals away vitually every game he plays, the modern day Gardener and where is he now!
