No Like Second Hand Fridge

Good morning. And hear me out.

The Daily SiegHeil is running with the tale that Fernando Torres ‘the artiste formerly known as Liverpool’s number nine’ could be an affordably priced casualty of the AVB revolution at Second Hand Fridge.

I say we ship him in. The old phrase, ‘form is temporary but class is permanent‘ is actually cobblers. What people crave is consistency. Let’s face it, how many players have we had in recent years who wrote us endless IOU’s but failed to deliver?

My theory in relation to Torres’ career going toilet-wards is simple. The players didn’t want him. If ever there was a club with a clique it is Chelsea. Drogba had the most to lose watching a few of their games together, Drog’s contempt was thinly veiled. Defoe’s passing in the 18 yard box is more generous.

So if he was transplanted into a side that actually wanted him, he’d do the business. Repeated hamstrings  and strains have probably taken some edge off him from when at his very very best, but he’s looked as fit as a butcher’s dog  from what I’ve seen of him.

And what would make any deal all the sweeter of course, is doing this after upgrading Modric’s contract.

He shares a flat with shawn wright phillips and both want to play at the same club again to cut down on petrol and living expenses. A Fiat punto could be the perfect sweetener as it will fit both of them in and be cheap to run.

I believe either he will move to QPR or we’ll get both and send them (QPR) Bentley as a gesutre of goodwill.

Chelsea wont sell Torres to us, anywhere but us infact, I see the same situation with City, they are happy to loan us Ade because he cant play against them, selling us a player is different. Do we want Tevez anyway he has been a problem where ever he has been, for me Leandro is the one.

Think this one is Daily Mail talk. If he goes anywhere it will be back to Spain, best chance of saving his career.

Furthermore, Chelsea would be very unlikely to sell us anyone in January, even someone so apparently burdensome. We are the single biggest threat to their CL qualification.

Bucket and loads of goals comes to mind. Torres would revel in the chances and space would provide for him. The boy is fast and also a fast thinker. Yes please from me.

As for Tevez, i reckon it would signal the end for VDV unless he and Lennon shared that right hand berth. Obviously a brilliant player.

    Hell I say, sign both!
