Rapid Fire Ratings

Good morning.

It was made pretty bleedin’ obvious to me that there is a place for Tottingham fans like me when it comes to competitions like this. Behind glass in a museum. But in the interests of getting on with it here’s the rating based upon the shifts put in and not the idiotic strategy applied to the tournament.

One or two good moments when called upon.

Like his spirit. Needs to watch his temper.

Don’t cha wish your right back was A&E?

Needs to be loaned out. See a bit of the world.

Stellar goal, but is he a bit thick?

Not match fit, last night will have blown a few cobwebs away.

Says he’s happy. I say they’ve just upped his Prozac.

 Jenas on acid.

He’s waiting to leave. Which is a pity.

His unrelenting determination paid off. Again.

what happened then, late night xmas shopping for me

crikey,he played kaboom, bae and defoe whats the point in that,i’d be resting bae not keep playing him in the ropa

oh well, sunderland at 3pm on sunday,i hope we have a stream,we are surrounded by scum kick offs

its a shame we fell at stoke,we really have to match those russian chavs for all we are worth now,i hope the lads realise this and give us a ruddy good chrimbo

Kaboom’s suspended for the Sunderland match anyway, Defoe presumably played beacuse VDV will start against the Macams and BAE wasn’t going to play but a last-minute injury to Fredericks forced Harry’s hand (Corluka presumably being unavailable for some reason).

ok,i shall let him off then,

it did look like a strongish team when i see it now, kaboom, bae, sandro, peanut, krank, defoe, injuries knocked us out really,if we had been able to play our full strength seconds we’d be trough i think

thudd, sandro, krank, peanut have never played with pav and defoe and whoever at the back,it probably would have been enough but hey injuries take their toll and people like carroll have benefited

uefa may have a word with harry, blah, blah

uefa should have a word with the ropa dopa and sort it out as a competition,i get bored of saying it,it amazing that people like platini who was a great player cannot see the ropa is as pointless as holding up the euro

CL spot for the winner or both finalists. That would make more than a few managers think twice before sending out a team of schoolboys.

amen,a CL spot,a real spot not qualifying, seems fair enough to me,it would make it a cracking competition, the fa cup should get one too

it is called the champions league after all

Nice to see the goons got AC milan a true test of a big club.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have tricky ties. If both go out at the next stage does anyone know if this would have any bearing on the number of English teams that qualify in future?

      • kojac says:

should be alright for a couple of years, imo, doesn’t how teams do in both competitions count,i can’t remember now

      • LosLorenzo says:

According to this, the English league would have to have it’s coefficient total overtaken by three other nations before any European slots were ‘lost’. Spain and Germany I guess might be able to do it this year, but no other nations look like they are in striking distance for next season (Italy would need to catch up 23K points which is close to impossible in a single season). But obviously they could all make up ground and potentially overtake England in a few years time.

Don’t know whether 2. & 3. place in the ranking have fewer direct qualifications than 1.
