Arry Blew It : Ratings, Home Truths & A Call For Sanity

Reality bites.

Look I know you can’t win every game. I get that. But at the same time there are simple steps one can take to guard against giving frankly mediocre opposition what can only be called …an even break. And that is what, without possible lucid argument to the contrary is what Wolves got today.

Our corners suck. And that’s me being hugely charitable. Me just getting going... You want to win the Barclays Premier League? Then you need to think about what went wrong. Wolves didn’t simply draw – we failed to win.

7.432 Easy to have a pop at Goalies. He made at least two saves of some note. Let’s not lose sight of this, eh?

4.101 Give me a break. Preferably a swift, high speed decapitation. Here we have a chap who quite probably was a damn good 200m runner at school. Fascinating. Clearly he has much to give. Or does he? He’s not skilled enough to execute the current role he has been given. Charged with acting above his pay grade and found guilty.

6.765 Just when we thought that his Royal Hoofness had rescinded his backward ways. Let’s not harp on. He’s a stand up guy, but today he looked rustier than his comeback performance. And that is fair comment.

5.999 Another one. Younes, your attacking runs are completely undermined by their ultimate uselessness. Harsh? Don’t bore me with child like appreciation of his majestic forays, dear reader… they ended in nothingness.

7.786 Subbed for Danny Rose. Wha? Majoritively, his performances are rather good. What was going on in Redschnapp’s mind? Answers on a postcard.

6.564 Physically feeling the strain. Needs a rest but who is there to provide his replacement? No one. So why encourage a knackered player to run forward?

6.674 Predictable, borderline dull. Threatened width, but preferred too frequently cut in. Needs to be able to provide a decent cross. Some will speak of ‘pluck’ and ‘effort’ …I wish that mob well. I like achievements. What a vicious task-master I truly am.

6.444 Borderline rubbish. Guilty of being complacent with his consistently wasteful shots and rapidly wearing out his welcome with this rather self indulgent ‘license to roam’ cobblers. Here’s a tip – you’re brilliant on the left wing – so stick to that. Livermore, Walker and Bale all need managing.

7.001 Is this chancer remotely intent upon staying in January? I’m unconvinced. Thanks for the goal. love. No really, thank you. Stop looking like it’s ‘not quite up to scratch for you’  you toad and be all you can be. Far too many instances of, ‘what am I to do?’ hand waving.

7.000 Not a great day at the office but I’m completely unconvinced that was his fault. You use international play-makers as …play-makers

6.079 Unconvinced there is much wrong occurring here. His goal was not offside. He’s intelligent, he’s highly skilled. So it must be the distribution: Please see my comments on Bale & Walker.

Lets just hope they were thinking about the next game, better to play like this today and save the best for city.
Everyone today was off their game
most of the flicks and fancy stuff just did’t pull off today, the shots on goal were ballooned
    quite comical really
But we still did not lose
    keep the faith
    coys :)

It was a slightly below par performance, but with a rub of the green(a decent ref)we would have won.Its a good sign imo that us fans get the arseole when we don’t beat teams we should,it just shows that we expect what all other fans of so called”Big Teams” expect, and what’s so bad about that.We don’t have to doth our caps and be thankful for letting us play with the big boys.We are fucking giants.

Frontwheel is not dropping points to win the league that bothers me we should not win with Ady borrowed from City that’s Cheeky. No what bothers me we where like David Hay Bragging what we where going too do especially Van the Blank calling City player and we got out run. This is the problem i warned all of you after Christmas points would be harder to get and i have bean proved right . Wolves are the third team in opta states who cover the most miles during games hard working and they where hovering above relegation why ?.441 is our biggest worry and the easiest way of the Wolves type teams too play against Modric scored when we went to 442 and he went central the trouble was Lennon was sacrificed for the off form and slow Van Parker should have gone off if before Lennon.

Having stood (we try not to sit!) through the game today, no one really deserved anything more than a 7 today. No one managed to lift their performance. I am going to have to massively differ on Walker who we all thought was our MOM, the only one of our speedsters that took on his man all game. But footaball is all opinions I suppose… The Boy Bale was very bad indeed, Azza Blud flickered, PNB had probably his worst game for us (without dong anything wrong) Would have subbed Rafa possibly even at half time and got JD on. Ade really needs to find his boots and we need anothert striker. Jake was unlucky not to start and would have battled that bell-end Pingpong and thug Carl ‘Not Terry’ Henry.
I have to say though I was disappointed with how fucking quickly people start bloody moaning at the players… FFS! Get a grip… Agree that if we do Citeh, all the moaners will be back on side (unlike Ade) COYS

I cannot believe the negativity on here.

We were not rubbish. No team that creates 22 chances (10 on target) can be described as rubbish. We played far worse at Fulham and won 3-1. We simply did not get the rub of the green today and as I keep saying if the officials had done their job properly we would have probably won 2-0.

We will not win every game and we don’t have to. We just need to win most of them and so far this season we have.

Keep the faith and for heavens sake cheer up. Especially you Hotspur

Sorry, posted this on the other blog-post. Venting a little.

Where are all the strikers these days? Is it me or did even Boro have Ravanelli once? Ok billionaires have bought a few clubs around Europe but over the past three seasons we haven’t been able to get a proper deadly striker Since Berbatov. I Like Ade, think he’s great for the team but where is our Linekar or Klinsman who you just KNOW will score.

Modric’s shooting is woeful and our set-pieces suck. Stoke make a living off of set pieces and throws, how many extra points could we gain if we improved these. Yes we are third but I want to see the club win the PL in my lifetime and with one or two additions this team could do it.

Our scouting network and/or chairman are not doing the business we’ve needed a top-boy striker to call our own for ages. Our coaches need to get Bale and VDV to hit the target from free-kicks, both came with reputations as dead-ball specialists, that skill doesn’t just evaporate but it needs to be trained.

Finally, we gotta have a plan for attacking and defending with set-pieces.

Old complaints, great that we’re third but not being first means we have to improve. It’s not beyond the club’s / this team’s power!

My solicited letter is on the way Davspurs dealer i have not had a penny off this chap above. This statment is just in case the tax mans reading these excellent pissed off manic blogs. Why do you want a striker too sit with Van or to replace him because Defoe scores then gets the bench. Spurs 1 West Brom 0 scorer Defoe next Game Van benched Cheltenham score 4-0 scorers Giovani Defoe next Everton benched score 2-0 goals Lennon Eckotto Defoe benched game Wolves benched came on 72 mins good shot saved goal Modric. The problem is 4411 with two wingers is a busted flush 442 is our best formation for scoring goals fact when Hudds comes back we will score goals with both systems i will bet my drug busting reputation on it
