Gotta hand it to him though, he’s got it in one. Lennon’s presence is the difference between our brilliant performances and our mediocre ones when not in the side. He gives width and balance to the side, which allows the likes of Ade and VDV/Defoe the opportunity to get into position while the oppositions defence backtracks.Of course his delivery could be better and his attitude stinks sometimes, but we have no direct replacement other than a better use of Walker, which for some reason hasn’t registered with our leader in recent games. Not an ideal or like for like swap, but a better option than fiddling with round pegs and square holes all the same
Problem is, who could we then put at RB. Kaboul seems to be a permanent “emergency” CB.
Talking about recent games Dub, and Charlie’s sitting about doing bugger all, so it seemed strange to say the least because as far as I know he’s fit to play.
Thinking about it, I’d rather see Charlie at CB, than RB. It was painful watching him at the end of last season every time he came across someone with pace.
