The 10 O’Clocker : Diego Milito In & A Pop At An Idiot

Guten Abend.

What can I tell you? Well that Pienaar business as per HERE is gathering some pace and Roger Morgan says a likely destination could be Citeh slaying… Sunderland.

My disbelief that anyone other than Everton  even entertain fielding bids on this guy is dispelled by the thought that someone like Martin O’Neil almost certainly believes in his heart that he can do a job for him. Surely £4M is an awful lot of money to get some shelves put up in a back bedroom.

Rog goes on to say that Klasnic of Bolton is a genuine target. Please. All contributions to the ITK mixer are welcome but I think Mr Morgan’s links to ‘Fleet Street’ are allowing him to pass on agent chatter.

Bolton are [think the movie Alien] doomed man! Are we being told that Arry is pitching to Levy & Co that Klasnic is a secret weapon on a sinking ship, just like Pathe News Boy was? Damn. I called that wrong too. Where can I buy a shirt with Klasnic on the back on New Year’s Day? I want to be in on the love early this time.

But tonight’s pick of the pops makes that all appear quite sane. It’ssssss……. none other than Diego Milito.

Wha? Oh yes. This is comes from a source that swears blind he hasn’t been on the sauce. Milito is of course that 132 year old Internazionale striker.

Any indication from the boy himself? Nothing really. His agent  Fernando said this to Corriere dello Sport about 3 weeks ago:

“I can assure that Diego doesn’t take into account the possibility of leaving Inter in January, he wants to return to the levels of two years ago with the Inter shirt.

If things don’t go well, in June he may consider other solutions. Soon I will be in Europe, but I will not speak of Milito. About him there is nothing to say. “

Maybe 3 weeks is a long time in the rat infested labyrinth of football. Who knows?

Elsewhere, FartTomb Of The Lane nipped in a day or two after lots of other people on Leeds forums had called the Townsend loan. But brilliantly and I mean brilliantly he decided to make Lazarus look like a rank amateur. This is inspired. I mean genius.

The FartTomb sprinkled record breaking amounts of attention seekingness in the summer window with his ‘Blue & Yellow’ malarkey. Which panned out to be nothing. I think no reasonable, no half intelligent folk can but refuse to cope with, ‘We’re signing X’ and it not happening.

Football transfers are after all an extremely complex business these days. Things which were ‘on’ can suddenly and quite acceptably become  ‘off.’  But the same reasonable & half intelligent folk get cheesed off – when fed riddles that are NEVER explained.

In response to the Samba de Janeiro garbage from Ackie, the Windmeister General now gives us evidence that’s better than an X ray to prove he’s in possession of sphericals that would shame King Kong.

look at the stars, look how they shine for you

See what he did there? Jesus wept.

Do you lot not listen to the real world of football. IT IS VERY UNLIKELY WE WILL BE BRINGING ANYONE IN!!!!!

Yes but that will not stop us from castigating DL and HR for yet again failing to sign Messi and Ronaldo.

I still can’t get over their incompetence in failing to sign Torres and Carroll this time last year. What a difference they would have made to our team struggling in 3rd place this season

This time last year we were in a similar league position, should have finished 3rd, couldn’t beat lesser teams, and finished 5th. What’s to stop that happening again? An injury to Adebuyorsell and we could well drop ‘easy’ points. As for our manager saying that the squad is good enough as it is, then why can’t he rotate the players? Improve the squad- sell and buy- and guarantee a top 4 place. It’s not difficult to see, yet Arry says, “No transfer business”. If we finish 5th……………

Seriously: Agreed that a lot rests on the shoulders of Ade, as it did last year on 3MP.

My post was a sideways swipe at those who screaming at our failure to buy Torres and Carroll. In all honesty, if we had the money, I would have liked to sign Torres, but not only was the fee ridiculous, but it was clear that we could not afford his wages.

Regarding Carroll, I never for one moment thought that half-a-season in the PL justified a £30mill+ price tag.

Yes, I would like to see the squad strengthened, but not at the cost of the very sound financial model we have in place.

If Ade gets injured, and we don’t have a back-up player for him, then we might have to go to 4-4-2. But who would we buy that is good enough that will want to sit on the bench?

The midfield is as good as any, and we could rotate if we wanted to.

In defence, we have shown that you can never have enough CB’s (7 last season).

It all comes down to money at the end of the day. I can’t see that like Manure, we would be willing to pay £50k a week to a bench-warmer.

I recently found out who Kim Kardashian is. We should definitely buy him.

Not sure if you are aware, but most names ending in “ian” are Armenians.

It is said of Armenians that they are the only people on earth who can follow you into a revolving door and come out in front of you.

Could we afford to do without such a skill in our team? I think not.

Kim isn’t too bad ‘up front’ but it’s her defensive ‘rear’ qualities that stand out! :-p

    All,
After a long rainy treck to the beautiful Wales I thought I would write with some news from the front.
First up – leaving from the car park – and t was difficult to not be depressed; clear proof that our expectancies for 2012 are sky high.
Swansea were great – great in the collective sense – spirit and a willingness for possession. Lots of open handed ‘give the ball to me’ gesticulations.
The crowd were testament to the numerous male voice choirs and the deserved equaliser exposed us to a stirring, beautiful impassioned anthem or three.
The single reason we lost? Our inability to change our formation, proactively, at minutes 55-70. With Scotty needing to nurse his knee, and VDV ineffective (apart from the goal!!) the winning changes SHOULDA been… Defoe and Rose on for Scotty and VDV. Revert to 4-4-2 with Baler and Danny interchanging on the flanks for the remainder. I am glad we earned a point, don’t get me wrong, but an inability to go to 2-0 dictated the outcome. Immense travelling voice and Sandro and the Bull were worth the admission price… Happy 2012 – we can win the title x

For those of you who are interested, we are one goal away from becoming the first PL team to concede 1000 goals.
