Confirmed: The Special One In London

Good evening.

The old late shift and a mug of Horlicks. You can’t whack it you know.  There were some interesting Tweets flying about today as well a mention on the Beeb and now it’s confirmed that Jose Mourinho was indeed in London today.

Up West [picsand it is heavily suggested that the purpose of his trip was house hunting, if you please.

There will be talk of course about Napoli soon to be sending AVB down the labour exchange, but it’s a struggle to see that happening. I was told that we really tried for Jose to replace Martin Jol but as you can imagine …the reasons why that wasn’t going to happen could have been published in paperback.

I’m torn on the issue of The Special One. He’s a winner. But then he made Chelsea play some dreadful football. Then he has Los Blancos scoring for fun. Then he needs pots of money…

What I like least of all however is the sense that we’re going to be left in limbo on the manager front. And that is where we’re headed right now, make no mistake.

Its a no brainer! We need to go all out to get him! Regardless of what redknapp is gonna do cos he’s a winner! Im tired of da false dawns n flattering to deceive i wanna c my club win a title in my lifetime n i dont care how we do it!! the “Tottenham way” has made us a laughing stock for too long time to rip it up!! Jose we’re waiting!!

If Harry does not sign the new contract in the next few days. That will tell you that he wants to go to England. Levy is too smart not to have already made contingency plans. The last time the FA appointed the media choice they got burned. Harry carries to much baggage and the FA do not know what other skeletons Harry has in his cupboard. That is why the FA are split. So, if Harry does not come out and reject the England job now and let us get on with the season, then he should be sacked. I for one am sick of his allowing the speculation to drag down our season and affecting the team performances.

My concern about Mourinho is the simple law of averages; success at Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid. He is due a failure. I also take the point about he seems to need big investments.

However all that aside and whatever style football he preaches, I do not think you see his teams capitulate like we did on Sunday against our biggest rivals.

Exactly or come out n say how puzzled he was afterwards! Wake up people redkrapp is a cheerleader whose tactical nous is non- existant! It aint gonna get any better under him!

Didn’t Real Madrid lose to Barcelona 5-0 in his first season there? I think his side capitulated then!!

First season. Not fourth season. Plus I think Barcelona at that time were capable of scoring five every week.

Not sure you understand the ‘simple rule of averages’. Because a Roulette wheel comes in red 10 times doesn’t mean black has any more chance on the next spin. Jose wins because he knows what he is doing.

Thank you for the lesson on probability theory. I will distribute it normally and hope it sets a standard not deviated from. Ring a bell with that curve ball?

When I want to debate statistics I will blog on the Institute of Actuaries web site

IF Harry moves on ( and I think he will given the chance)I think we will end up with another good but not special manager to see us through the stadium development phase. I don`t see us having the funds to develop the training ground(almost job done), stadium (just started)and upgrade the team (partly done) to world beaters. One thing at a time please.

We have the training ground just due to open, that should ensure the best players in the world are happy to join and stay. we need the new stadium that will do its part in producing the arena the worlds best will need to play in, then all we need in 2016 after the new ground is finished is a special manager and give him 100mil to spend!

I think regardless of what happens with the england job we should go for jose and bin harry if he dont go in my opinion he will have taken us as far as he can come the end of the season and to progress to the next level we need a proven manager with a track record of winning titles and you cant compare harry to jose in that one, i will always be grateful for what harry has done but if i have to sit through one more transfer window with live updates from harry’s jeep then im going to cry! and i would like a manager to make us into a team which is balanced between defence and attack not just attack, in the big games away from home this costs us everytime,we struggle against teams which play the 433 system against us city utd arsenal and madrid last year all beat us harry lacks big game experience at the highest level and it shows against better managers.
