Good morning and a belated happy seventy seventh birthday to a living legend.

He was the best left winger in the world and he was Tottenham. One hundred and thirty five goals in three hundred and eighteen games. So Cliff, please accept the day late love and respect sent here from fans around the globe.

But here’s the thing. Cliff ended his Spurs career some eight months before I was born. So it would be tricky to say the least for me to write a piece on one of the greatest players that ever wore the Lilywhite shirt.

So this is your blog. Tell me about Cliff Jones.

Spurs v Dukla Prague 1961

Spurs v Gornik Zabrze 1961

Spurs v Glasgow Rangers 1962 European Cup Winners Cup

the media all seem to think we will toodle along with some part time agreement, that suits everyone except us,have they met levy or what, they better get the cash out if they think this is going to happen

HR and DL have to make a statement in the next couple of days one way or another, this HR in particular owes the supporters. Whatever he decides I for one wish him good luck.

As said earlier, my belief is he won’t leave. I judge this by his press statement and little else. However, if he tries to barter a better deal from Levy like autonomy over transfers-I’d say-bye bye, thanks and good luck with England, and remember Harry, there’s loads of Rob Beasley’s type, whose arse’s you’ll need to lick on a daily basis to be a success in that job, unlike at the Lane, where Levy couldn’t give a toss about those scumbags!

I think he would be a mug to accept the England job. But he’s old school and he may feel a bit of honour even if it doesn’t exist in the game anymore. I certainly don’t expect him to leave before the end of season.

I don’t think honour is in our Arry’s vocabulary….greed, fame, media spotlight, teaming up with our Fwank again, oh and being able to bring Becks (traffic player) back and young Joke Hole (best young player I’ve ever worked wiv) are….if the FA come a calling, I’ll bet my mortgage on him leaving Spurs in a flash.

OK Harts, bet time again-I’ll bet ya he stays! ;-)

£100….do you want to send it to the charity of your choice right now, it will save me telling ‘I told you so’ in a day or two?

        Bye Harry.

Harry’s contract reportedly isn’t particularly long, so Levy will want to maximise the best deal for the club.

One thing’s for sure, the negotiator will surely be running all manner of compensatory deals through his mind.

Will Harry stay til the end of the season/part-time the England gig and then go full time then? I expect money will talk as to whether we lose Redknapp earlier or later, but I expect we will lose him.

Harry has played a blinder once again, and things couldn’t have fallen into place any better for all concerned. It must be to him, like looking down at his pocket Aces and an AAK board.

Plus Harry will get a pay rise, and we all know since he’s hopeless with money etc., this massive salaried position will help him greatly.

He’s off. Just a question of when, and compensation. :winke:
