Good afternoon.

Some four hours to go and if we’re honest the confidence, the exuberance that evaporated so cruelly last week has been difficult to summon up again. And that’s just for us who don’t have the responsibility of actually wearing the Chicken Badge.

It’s so important that we not only put last week behind us, but ensure that we play the Tottenham way. Keep the ball on the floor, entwine precision with pace and get back to playing the type memorable football that has had every pundit this side of the Great Wall of China cooing all season.

We know that Parker is missing, but we’re not a one man team and Sandro is not just admired for his self defence skills. I always feel that the games against Manchester United really reflect how we’ve done. A snapshot of a season in one game.

I use United because of all the clubs we play they have been so depressingly consistent, so depressingly succussful that as barometers go, they are a decent one.

The ‘gap’ was closed from 10 points to 4 yesterday. And the Woolwich having eaten so hungrily into that will be on the lads minds as much as anything else. So let’s see a nice, simple, straightforward approach where we keep our heads and keep our momentum.

We need an excorcist for these demonic f**kers.

Here comes the usual Spurs implosion, been a supporter for thirty years and have seen it more often than not. Every time I think Spurs are going to go somewhere something happens to derail us, this time it’s Fabios resignation. When will we break this jinx. Harry needs to either resign and take the England job or come out and say he doesn’t it because this uncertainty isn’t helping the players. If Harry goes I wouldn’t mind Klinnsman coming in with Mabbsy as assistant. I know that’s probably a bit random but who since the great Bill Nic would you say has come close to being called “Mr Tottenham.” For me its Gary Mabbutt and with a little tutorage from Jurgen, Mabbsy might just be that man. He has the lineage to deserve it and with the immediate experience and credence of Klinnsman we should be able to keep our best players and build big from there. COYS

I don’t buy at all that the ‘uncertainty’ over the England job should be enough to derail our season. FFS, it’s not that complicated, he is here til the end of the season, then he’s taking the England job. I’m sure the players all know that, and I can’t see why it should make a blind bit of difference to them in how they play and the collective will to achieve something at the club.

Like almost every team in the league, we are having a ‘blip’. We played like complete jokers (with Arsenal providing the punch lines) last week, and today put a very good shift in and got done by 3 sucker punches. Harry, whilst he’s still here, needs to make sure this blip doesn’t turn into a ‘slump’, and tbh today’s result / performance has set up next weeks game at Everton as a more straightforward 3 points I think, as the players should be very well fired up for it against a side that whilst ‘robust’ aren’t really all that good. 3 points there and it is really in our hands. A point at Chelsea would be enough to look at a relatively comfortable run in.

Idiot! That’s one way to turn us from a top 4 side into relegation candidates in an instant.

I think he is going to unveil the latest piece of tactical genius: Ledley in the free role, alongside VDV and Bale.

I’m more concerned with our changing shape. Are we sure which is our best formation and starting 11? This is the business end of the season and I’m not sure harry knows what to do each week.

    • Pantomine Horse says:

We should play 4-4-2 with two wingers. Can drop Livermore or Sandro in for Saha and play 4-5-1 away against good teams.

No more free role for Bale, no more BAE wandering upfield and VdV is a luxury. Lets see this season out properly.

Oh, and if Manu wants 200k p/w, he’s not worth that much; I’d buy Pavel Pogrebnyak from Fulham instead. He scored one with his left, one with his right, one with his head and an assist. 5 goals in 3 PL games he looks quality.

I tink he should be TARRED AND FEVVERD
