Micky Hazard has passed comment on Twitter that one of the greatest men to have ever played for Tottenham Hotspur is really rather ill.
For some time now, Dave has been battling against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
Micky is passing on all messages so perhaps by the close of play tonight I can send Micky the URL to this blog as a collection of best wishes to Dave Mackay and those caring for him.
The word Legend is so often abused and referred to lesser mortals ….. Dave will always be the Legend to Spurs fans everywhere,I count myself lucky that I was fortunate to see Dave play and fully my best wishes for his health to improve.
In my dictionary, where the word ‘Legend’ should be, there is just a picture of Dave Mackay.

Never saw him play was too young but my heart still jumps when i see him played by an actor in Cloughs movie. All i can think when i watch this movies was that he (Mckay) was a Spurs legend. So obviously there is strong feeling from around me that has entered my soul that automatically made me think of him and the great Spurs side….all just by watching a movie!!!
