Team Sheet & Tactics For Swansea

Guten Abend und herzlich willkommen auf das weekend, my dearest friends.

QPR caused a welcome stir then by beatin’ the Woolwich Wotters. Sparky Marky Hughes will be relieved that his ‘group of death’ style closing run to their season has had a rather…well, relieving start. ‘The boy Tarapit done more brilliant than we’d hoped’ the ghost of Neil Warnock was heard to say.

Elsewhere, die hard Citeh fans were seen streaming out of the Etihad from the before the 70th minute as Mancini’s boy’s dropped a testicle. Unbelievable scenes. At least in the Paxton the booing may start at any time after the 15th minute, but at least our lot are ordinarily prepared to hang about and moan. I can respect determination in any field.

fig.1=Gallas feeding Bale and Adebayor when dropping deep. fig.2=Suggested run for Bale, NB must not stop to talk to anyone, just cross in to… fig.5=Rafa fires home that pass from Bale. fig.3=PNB to concentrate on supplying Azza & Rafa. fig.4=Piece of solo brilliance from the Chapeltown Terrier.

We need to beat Swansea by 4 clear golazos in order to go third. It will take some collapse to facilitate that.

Predictions?

I ordinarily swerve First Goalscorer prices but 4/1 for Manu is very tempting …even for me. Anytime goalscorer prices have always been my bag and Azza Blud at 3/1 does it for me, but Pathe News Boy to nick one at 11/2 is a pound I’m happy to punt. Prices from Boylesports who don’t actually pay me a dime, but I like their site.

I know a place with 2 cardboard boxes, a piss pool, overlooking a Reebook (minus laces). Any good to you?

Arry and Rodgers had a long chat pitch side after the game, maybe telling Rodgers where he hides the keys to his office.

RIP…Giorgio Chinaglia… Having found the beautiful game following the NY Cosmos in the late 1970’s, the game has lost one of it’s great personalities…

Raised in Wales, he was named greatest player in the history of Lazio but could not return to Italy as he was under indictment for trying to buy the club in 2006 as a front for the mafia….

Hosted a daily football radio show in the US which was frequented by many of the legends…

You either loved him or hated him…no middle ground… I highly recommend “Once in a Lifetime” a documentry of the Cosmos in the day. Financially, they were the Man City of the day x 5!!! Imagine a starting lineup that included Pele, Beckenbauer, Carlos Alberto, Johan Neeskens and the English duo of Dennis Tuert and Steve Hunt…

To put a modern day equivelent, imagine a cross between David Beckham and Joey Barton to get what “George” was like in NY during the heady days of the Cosmos…

    will be missed…

Legend of sorts, I used to see him at Giants Stadium back in the day of the NY Cosmos, as a youngster and with all the other talent on show (Darryl Gee aside) I never understood what the fuss was about but to my dad he was a legend so RIP Giorgio.

He was a poacher’s, poacher… Talent on display? You mean we were there to watch Ricky Davis and Werner Roth (who did have a great stone face as the captain of the Germans in Victory)

No the real talent Bogicevic – the assist king, the squads of 78/ 79/ 80 with Cruyff, Carlos Alberto et al. I remember the south American friendlies when River Plate came to town with Mario Kempes and Boca Juniors with their teenage sensation Diego Armando Maradona. Good times.

Went to the Long Island soccer camps hosted by Werner Roth.

Now, will you stop putting Cudicini in your team selection. Friedel has been amongst our best players this season and that save was truly world class. Let him play till he’s 60 and then let’s recruit his grandson to replace him. Great win.
